5. Since many of the conferences are interactive, you still have the experience of “being there”.

7. Instead of a virtual field trip, you can meet up with another class to discuss a book, share an art project, and talk to other foreign language classes.

9. Internet Video Chat Tools (Skype, Oovoo, etc.)

10. Webcam, microphone, speakers (for Internet Video Chat Tools), projector (for both)

12. Remember to ask if there are pre- and post-conference materials to prepare for the conference and later debrief the students.
