EIFFEL TOWER // FRANCE
The renovation of the first level of the “iron lady” was completed in the autumn of 2014. The 4,500 m2
design-build
operation provided for reconstruction of the Eiffel and Ferrié pavilions and the three lift access structures as well as
refurbishment of the restaurant facades. A partly transparent floor was installed and equipped with a glass railing
to enable visitors to “experience the sensation of stepping into the void”.

NEW BORDEAUX STADIUM // FRANCE
The modular 42,000-seat arena was inaugurated on
18 May 2015. The project, led by VINCI Construction
France, was completed on a tight schedule to enable
the stadium to host UEFA Euro 2016. It also involved
a strong social component, with the volume of work
integration hours exceeding the 63,000 provided for
in the contract by a wide margin.

Water infrastructure
COVERING THE ENTIRE
WATER CYCLE
Water engineering is one of VINCI Construction’s long-standing business activities.
VINCI Construction has therefore been able to develop comprehensive expertise
encompassing the entire water cycle, from drinking water pumping to rainwater runoff
management, dam maintenance and wastewater discharge and treatment. The growing
need for sanitation and water systems around the world will drive the long-term
expansion of the activity.

century. The structure will ensure navigation on
the Nile thanks to a double lock and will irrigate nearly 700,000 hectares
of land down to Cairo.

The work carried out at Sidi Bernoussi by Sogea Maroc as part
of a joint venture will require 230,000 m3
of excavation to a depth
of 18 metres below sea level, 1,400 tonnes of reinforcing steel

In Louisiana, Menard USA devised a ground reinforcement
solution able to support four 43 metre diameter, 12 metre high
oil tanks. It involved installing 2,000 controlled modulus columns
(CMC) to a depth of 40 metres.
