7. WHAT I FOUND OUT FROM MY
RESULTS
From my results I found out that on average the people I surveyed between the
ages of 15-21 with 17 being the most popular age group people like to see in a
music video with a narrative so this is something I could think about in my
planning for my music video. Also from people like to see more than one location
in music videos both outside and a mix of studio locations and stadium locations
were popular. The most popular genre of music was hardcore music which the
audiences of between 16-20 said they listen to. This music genre fits into ‘Task 1:
Who is your target audience?’ because this is the audience who I want to target
with my music video but not only that the 16-20 year olds who I surveyed also
were more males than females which again fits into my task one. Lastly from my
questionnaire I have worked out that people watch music videos tend to watch
them because of the song which suggest that people are more interested in the
latest happenings of an artist or band. People will usually watch the music video
on YouTube which suggests that the internet has made an impact on the way we
consume our music videos but from the questionnaire there is evidence that iPods,
phones and mp3 players are still popular deceives to listen to our music.
