The mission of the project is to
develop, promote and implement through
participatory approaches, a
decentralized, cost-effective, renewable
and sustainable bio-energy technology
package to reduce Green House Gas
emissions and also to meet rural energy
requirements.

8. Project Details
Planning & Feasibility study suggested to
run a 1 MW Biomass gasifier plant , 4.2
tonnes/Ha/Year on a 3000 Ha land was
required.
Implementation stage – Tree plantation
was done in 2930 Ha (1983 Ha of forest
land and 947 Ha of farm land) (30
households employed in this farming)
9. Power plant establishment

500 kW – Kabbigere village
250 kW – Seebanayapalaya
250 kW – Borigunte
Power generated is evacuated to
BESCOM
Tariff set – INR 2.85/kWh
