1. HOW EFFECTIVE IS THE
COMBINATION OF YOUR MAIN
PRODUCT AND ANCILLARY TASKS?

2. From producing a teaser trailer, film poster and film magazine front cover I
have created a whole promotional package. This is beneficial, as the more
promotional products you have the higher the chance people will hear about
the film. When making the ancillary tasks of the magazine front cover and the
film poster, the use of generic conventions found on both gave me a head
start on making them look professional and well made.

3. Before the I had finished my teaser trailer, I asked some of my target market
to give me some feedback on what they thought was good and bad about the
trailer. With the positive comments that were given, there were some negative
ones too.
“some of the clips are slightly blurry and pixelated”
Because of this comment, I took out the part of the clip that wasn’t of good
quality, and I overlaid a picture on top of the original footage, eliminating the
bad quality in it.
Another point made was that the background noise could still be heard and it
sounded unprofessional.
Because of this, I all sound from a large proportion of the clips to ensure the
trailer remained looking realistic and professional.

4. I gathered some of my target market, asking
them to watch my trailer and give me some
feedback. As the feedback was anonymous, I
don’t think there was any worry as to what was
being said, which gave me confidence in that the
feedback was completely honest. There was a
large range of positive comments, as well as a
few negative ones.

5. Overall, the feedback given was really positive
and it was nice to see that people thought the
trailer really resembled a professional one.
Although there was a few negative comments:
“ The font seems to vary throughout the
promotional features, to make this look even
more professional, Having the fonts not match
would make the audience unable to link the film
to the magazine cover and the film poster.”
This was the only negative comment given on the
Facebook group, this reassured me that the
products made are of a good standard. In the
future if I were to complete this work again, I
would definitely make all the fonts the same
throughout the ancillary tasks.
