3. DIGITAL WAREHOUSES
In partnership with the National Association of Book Publishers of
Quebec (ANEL), we developed the Digital Warehouse, the first
digital book distribution platform in Quebec.

6. Pretnumerique.ca
In collaboration with Quebec’s public national library and archives
and the BIBLIO Network, we developed and launched in 2011 the
platform Pretnumerique.ca, making digital book loans possible for
libraries all over the province.
Cantook Station
De Marque and LSC (Library Services Center) joined forces in 2014
for an e-lending solution for Canadian public libraries.Already
implemented in hundreds of libraries here and abroad, Cantook
Station is a robust and proven technology which gives librarians the
control and diversity they need to make their digital collections
thrive.
E-LENDING SOLUTIONS
7. De Marque is a founding member of the Readium Foundation,
which main goal is to develop an EPUB digital reader optimized
for mobile applications based on Open Source technology.
LCP
Together with with the Readium Foundation, we participate in the
development of LCP (Lightweight Content Protection), a new DRM
technology.This project aims to make using DRMs a lot easier for the
end user, including avoiding dependencies to a company.

8. QA PROCESSES FOR EBOOKS
Upon receving EPUB files, we extract covers and validate their size
(must be1400 pixels min)
We run an EpubCheck (based on IDPF’s validator) on all EPUB files
and prevent selling files that do not comply
We filter the type of files we send to each retailers based on their
specs and requests
Publishers can upload several types of files for the same title in order
to meet retailers specific needs
Metadata QA: ONIX, XML, CSV and Excel spreadsheets
