2. Scaffholding
Instructional scaffolding is a learning process designed
to promote a deeper level of learning. Scaffolding is the
support given during the learning process which is
tailored to the needs of the student with the intention of
helping the student achieve his/her learning goals
These supports are gradually removed as students
develop autonomous learning strategies
3. Note-Taking
You now know how to take notes using the two-
column method…and you still have templates for
your support.
I will no longer be collecting your notes.
4. Flip Teaching and Videos
The videos take the place of reading a math
text book. I ask that you watch the videos
BEFORE class so you have prior knowledge.
Since videos are part of the notes, I will no
longer be collecting problems from the videos.
5. Group Work
I will continue to collect group work, and it still has
to be done in complete sentences and done
professionally.
You may select 2 group work assignments from
each week to hand in. On Monday, March 3rd the
first set of group work will be due.
6. Textbook HW
I will continue to collect hw from the text.
This does not have to be done in complete
sentences.
You may select 2 group homework
assignments from each week to hand in. On
Monday, March 3rd the first set of homework
assignments will be due.
7. My Math Lab
You will no longer be required to hand in on-
line homework. I will now get your grade from
the computer. This means you need to input
answers now.
Please remember to continue to keep a
notebook and write out problems from on-line
HW to get the most out of it.
