Research tells us that one of the most powerful things a leader can do to ensure the effective implementation of ICT in a school is to visibly model their own use of ICT. Leaders can be challenged by the fact that professional development is often focused on the needs of classroom teachers. It can be difficult for leaders to find authentic opportunities to utilise what they have learned in their own day to day practice. \nThis hands-on workshop looks at practical ways leaders can use a variety of online tools to communicate with teachers, students and the school community. We will be utilising a number of free Web 2.0 tools that can be used across platforms. You will get the most out of this session if you bring along a device with which you can connect to the internet.\n
