2. Advantages:
Linocut is
a printmaking technique,
a variant of woodcut in
which a sheet
of linoleum, is used for
the relief surface.
• You can use it as many times
you want in different colours.
• Lino Cutting production is
unique.
• Lino Cutting production is
creative.
• Unlike offset lithography you
can only make few copies
using linocut technique
Disadvantages:
• Lino Cutting production is
time consuming
3. 1. Trace the image onto the tracing paper so then it
will be easier to transfer the image onto the lino.
4. 2. Go over the lines pressing the pencil hard when
tracing the image on to the lino, to prevent your tracing
paper from moving stick the tracing paper on the lino
with tape.
5. 3. The next step is to cut out the lines on the lino carefully with a
lino cutter. get a plastic sheet, ink on it and get a roller.

7. • A process used for printing on a
flat surface, using printing plates.
• An image is transferred to a
printing plate,
• The plate is chemically treated so
that only image areas will accept
ink.
• Water and ink is applied to the
plate.
• The plate is rolled onto a rubber
cylinder applying the inked area,
and in turn the rubber cylinder
applies the image to the paper.
8. Advantages:
• You can make loads copies using offset
lithography technique
• Using offset lithography technique you will get
more clean images than using lino cutting
technique
• Offset lithography technique doesn’t take long
Disadvantages:
• If you make just a few copies it will be
expensive

Linocut is a printmaking technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum, is used for the relief surface. A design is cut into the linoleum surface with a sharp knife, with the raised (uncarved) areas representing a reversal (mirror image) of the parts to show printed. The linoleum sheet is inked with a roller and then impressed onto paper or fabric. The actual printing can be done by hand or with a press.Advantages: You can use it as many times you want in different colours.Lino Cutting production is unique.Lino Cutting production is creative. The next step is to cut out the lines on the lino carefully with a lino cutter. get a plastic sheet, ink on it and get a roller. roll the ink onto it and then roll the ink onto the lino, after that get a clean sheet of paper and put it on to the lino carefully and gently not to mess it up. Use a metal or a wooden spoon to press the paper on to the lino so the image is transferred properly.
A process used for printing on a flat surface, using printing plates. An image is transferred to a printing plate, The plate is chemically treated so that only image areas will accept ink. Water and ink is applied to the plate. Because of the chemical treatment, ink only "sticks" to the image areas, which reject the water. Areas without images reject the ink. The plate is rolled onto a rubber cylinder applying the inked area, and in turn the rubber cylinder applies the image to the paper.
