Evaluation question 7
1. Looking back at your
preliminary task, what do
you feel you have learnt
in the progression from it
to the full product?

2. The Planning Process
Overall I think the planning process has worked well this time round
we had a lot more time to plan compared to the prelim. I think by
having more time it has helped us plan in far more detail and we
were able to change some things that we were unsure on. We
had issues with choosing the correct location but also this time
round had a lot more freedom in where we were going to do it. I
found storyboarding one of the most frustrating parts as we had to
change it a number of times for it to be perfect. But I think we
have learnt how to add detail when doing so.
3. The process of running a shoot.
I think whilst running the shoot we came across a few issues with the lighting as one
of the bulbs popped whilst filming, we also had to go back and film again for
continuity a lot. But I did find we have come a long way since the prelim, we
have learnt a lot more techniques and how to position the camera correctly. We
had problems with the darkness of the footage but we could resolve this easily
when editing. And also adding in extra lights. I think the actors played their roles
correctly and portrayed the characters in the right way. This also made our film
look more professional, when you look back at our prelim you can see the
difference in the way the actors are.
4. The editing process
When it came to editing we had a few problems using
the programme, we were unsure on how to add
certain effects properly such as the titles. I think the
effects we ended up using were used correctly.
Editing this time round was a lot easier and we were
able to progress a lot more. From the prelim to this I
think we have done very well and worked together
as a group to complete this stage in our final piece.
