details used to implement this descriptive
correlational study. Specifically,
presented here are the general
perspective and context of the study, an
overview of the participants, a
description of the instruments and
procedures used in data collection, and
an explanation of data analysis strategies
for each research question.

4. PARTICIPANTS
• Students of English Language
Major at the University of
Quintana Roo who range in age
from 16 to 40
• Five groups of different
semester which will be of 2, 4,
6, 8 and 10 semester.
5. INSTRUMENTS
• Student-life Stress Inventory (SSI)
(Gadzella, 1991) applied to
measure college student stress.
Participants respond to a five-point
scale using 1 = never, 2 = seldom,
3 = occasionally, 4 = often, and 5 =
most of the time.
• Interviews to ten students which
will be chosen of the different five
semester.
• Academic records of the
participants will be used to
compare them with their stress
level.
6. PROCEDURE
• To carry out this research, it will be measure the
level of stress that English language students have
applying surveys and interviews to them.
• An exhaustive bibliographic review of books and
Internet webpages will be make.
• Participation in this study was strictly voluntary.
