Message from the
Director MIDAS
MIDAS in a short time has emerged as one
of the key players in architectural education
in South India. The efforts by the faculty and
students have enabled us to critically think,
reflect and research on contemporary issues
in built environment. The idea of MIDAS as a
platform for this lateral thought process and
the freedom to design has made the institute
a trendsetter in architecture education. Our
design projects are unique, well researched
and outstanding in terms of response to culture
and environment.
MIDAS has endeavored to bring experts and
the extraordinary performers in the field of
architecture to share their thoughts with
the emerging minds. Students get a deeper
understanding of architecture through a
dedicated effort in art with a social context.
This encourages and facilitates creative and
artistic vision with a commitment towards
technical excellence and conceptive brilliance.
Our aim is to be one of top class architecture
institutes by 2020, at par with international
schools , and hence there are quality standards
for the constant renewal of creative potential
and the uncompromising liberty to innovate.
On behalf of MIDAS I cordially invite you to visit
the institute and sample the unique work being
done by the team.
Prof. Jaffer AA Khan, RIBA., RAIA., FRSA,
Chartered Architect, Director, MIDAS

The efforts by the faculty and students have enabled us to critically think, reflect and research on contemporary issues in built environment. The idea of MIDAS as a platform for this lateral thought process and the freedom to design has made the institute a trendsetter in architecture education. Our design projects are unique, well researched and outstanding in terms of response to culture and environment.
