From the guest point of view front office department is most important
department of the hotel. Because front office is that department which
continuously deals with the guest from arrival till the departure. Guest always
comes to the front office department for even a minor problem to very big
problem. The responsibility of the front office staff is to solve their problem
without any hesitation.

Just a name can define the role of the front office department. Front office depart
is always lies at the lobby side of the hotel there is a front desk, where cashier and
receptionist always there for the guest. Guest can ask anything at the desk. Staff
of the front desk most be much more familiar with the all the aspect of the hotel
so that there will not any delay to give right and adequate information to the
guest.

So, staff of the front office department should smart in looking as well as on their
knowledge. Dealing capacity is mostly counts in front office department. All of the
staff is directly concern with the guest problems and their requirement.
Successive solving guest problem makes guest happy and obviously this help to
increase future business of the hotel.

Front office department of the Yak and Yeti hotel is fully automated. No hand
work is done.
