Familiarity with all aspects of all major media forms. Administrative and management
experience in all aspects of a complete in-house NBA, NFL, WNBA and CISL (Continental Indoor
Soccer League) broadcast and electronic media operations, as well as numerous major business
development projects and platforms. Areas of extensive experience and expertise include:
• Sales Management: Managed sales of television, cable and radio commercial airtime, arena
signage, team Internet site, team publications, in-arena promotions and retail programs.
Oversaw departmental sales increases of more than 20% annually for seven consecutive years
and double digit increases for ten of eleven seasons while with the Sonics. Exceeded
departmental revenue targets ten of eleven seasons with the Sonics (one year revenue
shortfall due to NBA lockout / labor dispute). Realized a client retention rate in excess of
85%, far above industry standards.
2. • National Sales Management: Management and oversight of National Rep-firm sales.
Pioneered the use of rep-firms by professional sports teams, now an industry norm.
• Individual sales: Personal sales in excess of $8,000,000 annually with the Sonics.
Departmental sales in excess of $19,000,000 annually. Departmental annual operating budget
of $4,000,000. Executed all aspects of management position while carrying the largest
account list for the franchise. Sold media in small, medium and large markets with rate and
total contract value diversity from a few hundred dollars to complex multi-year multi-million
dollar programs. Familiar with and experienced in all aspects of ground up media sales
process, including prospecting, initial approach, closing, copy writing, production and resale.
Proficient in both solution-driven and consultative sales process. Demonstrated excellent
retention of client base month-to-month and year-to-year.
• Major Account Sales: Personally handled eight of the ten largest Sonics corporate partners.

of electronic media sales and sales management. Experience in start-up and established radio
station sales, independent and network affiliate television sales in small, medium and major
markets. Experience in the development and sales of regionally distributed programming on
regional cable television and radio networks.
• Sales Logistics: Involved in all aspects of rate structure, inventory management, exclusivity
strategies, media platform bundling, point of entry barriers, and category distribution and
allocation issues.
• Business Development: Senior executive responsible for strategy and development of
numerous business opportunities and partnerships including a major regional media
distribution venture and a region-wide pay-per-view business model with both residential
and commercial platforms.
• Carriage & Clearance Negotiations: Responsible for all television, cable, radio and DBS
carriage and clearance negotiations and partnership development. Long and short term
agreements reached with Bonneville Broadcasting / KIRO Television (CBS 7), Prime Sports
Northwest, FOX Sports Net, Providence Journal / KING Television (NBC 5) & KONG

• Promotional Platforms: Extensive experience in the planning, logistical implementation and
execution of complex media-supported local and region-wide promotional programs at retail
and in-arena levels.

commercial pay-per-view programs, national rep-firm sales platforms and other media

remodeled KeyArena. Packaged and sold major venue signage in multi-media partnerships

Seahawks Stadium (now QWEST Field).
• New Venue Logistics: Involved with two professional sports franchises during the
planning, building, marketing and transition to new arena/stadium facilities. Involved in
many aspects of venue management and relations.
• Venue / Vendor Interface: Extensive experience and creative development of innovative
sales and marketing concepts promoting third-party vendor involvement in new and existing
facilities as well as venues under construction. Experience in the development of branded
food distribution, creative signage options and opportunities, and venue space usage

logistics and coordination between FIFRA, business interests in Mexico and indoor soccer
