20. Conclusions
• Heart failure is expanding throughout the world in
association with increase in elderly population.
• The largest contributors to the HF are IHD and HHD
irrespective of registries.
• Increase of heart transplant donor is an urgent
thema to save refractory HF patients.
• HF is a threat of industrialized societies and
cooperation among the ESC, AHA and JCS is a clue to
fight with this international threat.
• World-wide registry is necessary to investigate the
prognosis of HF in the real world.
