11. Why Use Facebook?
Its become clear that a wide-range of people are
regularly using Facebook. Creating a library Facebook offers
diversity in an already diverse market. Instead of expecting
users to take extra steps to visit the library’s own website, its
accessible from their page. The fact that libraries can directly
contact fans is also a prime motivator in setting up and
maintaining a fan page. Libraries are using social networking
site such as, Facebook to improving it’s image and visibility,
and as a result, attract more users.

12. Additional Incentive
• Open access & services by using as many avenues possible.
Users have option of taking advantage of available resources.
• Catalog search widgets can be placed into Facebook.
• Connection with users
