2. A

In

3. Why
the
Free
Ideas?
I’m
all
about
generaRng
business,
product
and
soluRon
ideas.
New
food
product
ideas
are
parRcularly
near
and
dear
to
my
heart.
As
I
am
focused
on
my
Good
Food,
Great
Business
book
and
e-‐course,
I
wanted
to
share
what
feel
like
winning
ideas
for
those
who
might
want
to
GO
FOR
IT.
All
I
ask
is
that
you
give
a
nod
to
this
very
moment
when
you
first
got
the
ideas
here.
And
maybe
some
stock
opRons.
Note:
I
have
not
ve,ed
to
see
if
these
exist.

Savory
yogurt
mix-‐ins
WHAT:
Packaged
organic
mix
ins
with
herbs,
spices
and
dried
veges
to
mix
into
yogurt
for
lunch
and
dips.
Maybe
packaged
in
a
compostable
spoon
(like
those
cool
pens
with
the
liNle
pebbles
in
them)
to
pour
the
mix
ins
then
use
the
spoon.
WHY:
I
want
them!
Don’t
you?!
Chobani
is
all
about
mixing
stuff
into
yogurt
as
they’ve
done
at
their
yogurt
bars.

Flavored
string
cheese
WHAT:
String
cheese
with
garlic,
pepper,
herbs
or
spices
mixed
in
WHY:
I’m
your
first
customer!
Ties
into
Chobani’s
strength
in
the
refrigerated
secRon
and
Res
to

String
cheese
is
a
perfect
grab
and
go
snack
for
kids
and
adults
(read:

6. 3.
Flavored
cottage
cheese
WHAT:
CoNage
cheese
with
dried
onions
and
other
herbs
and
spices
(yes
you
see
a
theme
here)
WHY:
Ties
into
Chobani’s
strength
in
the
refrigerated
secRon
and
the
idea
of
a
ready-‐to-‐eat
savory,
healthy
dairy
item.
For
years
coNage
cheese
with
pineapple
and
also
with
chives
filled
the
shelves.
Worth
exploring
bringing
that
back
(although
idea
#1
would
really
be
a
no-‐brainer
to
flavor
coNage
cheese
yourself!)

Frozen

bon
bons
WHAT:
Chocolate
covered
bon
bons
made
with
Chobani
yogurt
WHY:
They
may
see
using
Chobani
as
a
cop-‐out
in
the
innovaRon
department.
A%er
all,
they
could
do
this
on
their
own.
But
if
you
use
Chobani
with
a
great
chocolate
and
toppings,

Straw
snacks
WHAT:
Here’s
a
“Straw
Man”
—Straw
Snacks
(healthy
Pixie
SRx).
Can
you
see
kids
pouring
cheesy
vegetable
powders
into
their
mouths,
on
the
go?
Maybe
even
peanut
buNer
(peanut
powder)
and
jelly
(fruit
powder)
mixes?
WHY:
Given
this
enRre
deck
is
full
of
“straw
man”
ideas,
I
just
had
to
include
a
product
suggesRon
of
that
name.
Gelng
kids
to
eat
healthy
food
is
a
naRonal
imperaRve.
Pouring
flavored
sugar
down
your
gullet
is
a
fond
childhood
memory
for
many;
it’s
hard
to
believe
we
can
sRll
buy
these
sooo
bad,
soooo
good
treats.
This
fun
and
healthy
grab-‐and-‐
go
snack
for
adults
and
kids
takes
a
format
that
is
simply
fun.
Plus
the
sky’s
the
limit
as
far
as
flavor
combos.

9. 6.
Cheese
crackers
WHAT:
Crunchy
100%
cheese
crackers
(with
added
spices
and
perhaps
even
dehydrated
vegetable
powders)
WHY:
All
cheese
crackers
make
for
high
protein,
gluten-‐free,
flavorful
snacks
that
are
friendly
to
so
many
whether
watching
their
weight
or
on
specific
diets
(e.g.,
low
glycemic).
Parmesan
and
very
limited
cheese
crackers
are
coming
to
market,
but
overall
this
concept
is
really
under-‐done.
Pricier
than
grain-‐based
crackers,
this
type
of
product
is
ideal
for
a
company
with
strong
Res
to
dairy.
Hmm.

10. 7.
Non-‐dairy
cheese
WHAT:
Have
you
ever
had
“nut
cheese?”
It’s
delicious
and
o%en
hard
to
tell
it’s
not
cheese.
What
other
new
plant-‐based
cheeses
are
to
be
discovered?
WHY:
Plant-‐based
foods
are
on
trend.
Meat
subsRtute
innovaRons
are
all
the
rage,
some
closely
mirroring
the
properRes
of
meat.
Plant-‐based
foods
are
debatably
beNer
for
us,
beNer
for
the
environment,
and
more
cost-‐efficient
than
animal-‐based
foods.
Non-‐dairy
cheese
widens
its
market
to
vegans
and
lactose-‐intolerant
crowds.
