TERRY PROSSER - “BETWEEN THE LINES”
‘Finding meaning through context‘
The ‘Face 2 Face‘ presentation looks at useful ways of creating interest
and motivation in General English classes through articles, pictures and video
from the internet to supplement ELT coursebooks. It also identifies how we
can present grammar inductively in a helpful and contextualised way so that
students see things for themselves, see meaning beyond the form and also
use it in a personalized and natural way. The presentation is accompanied by
handouts and sections of the Face 2 Face series from Cambridge University
Press.
5. ANIELLA BUSILA - "Do you want your students to get an internationally
recognised certificate?
Find out how your school can become a Cambridge ESOL preparation centre"
Description: This presentation, led by Cambridge ESOL's consultant in
Romania, will provide you with useful information on how your school can
become a preparation centre and what the benefits to your school and
students are.
6. TERRY PROSSER - “LOST FOR WORDS”
‘Introducing, reviewing and enriching vocabulary‘
EFL students often find it difficult to progress beyon d the intermediate
plateau, lost for words or communicating with the same vocabulary they
learned at lower levels. So why is this? This talk highlights some typical
difficulties and offers ideas to help increase learners‘ lexis, to improve
reading ability and also express themselves in a more fluent and confident
way. The presentation will also look at ways to practising and reviewing
vocabulary through a series of enjoyable, learner-centred and motivating
activities, and I’ll also provide a list of helpful suggestions and links to
useful digital resources.
