4. For my ancillary texts and my trailer I was looking to create a dark, thrill like theme,
which would catch the viewers eye as they walked past as it was darker from the more
vibrant poster / magazines, and it stood out from the rest. In all 3, I have maintained
this theme, and they all have an essence of depression, or an unhappy mood in them,
due to the apocalyptic theme. On my magazine cover I have also used a shot which is
also seen on the poster, which is the city. On the magazine cover you can see a
reflection in the lens of the camera of part of the city. I did this as it will help viewers
to notice what they are looking at when they see it, as they will see the city in the lens
(which is also seen on the poster). The font used for the text saying ‘The City’ is also
the same, although on the poster it does look slightly different as it was used within a
3D program and was given a displacement deformer, which distorts and changes bit of
the text. I did this as I wanted to really enhance the grungy look I was aiming for,
rather than having clean text. I also used this font, ARIAL BLACK in many of the
different flashing texts in my trailer.
