5. Million years ago there was a completely different climate on our palnet. Europe was covered with solid ice accompanied with frost and blizzards. Glaciers appeared many times shaping Europe. 7. Glaciations in Poland Polish Land has been formed as a result of the Scandinavian glaciation. In consequence our sites have a very varied postglacial appearance.
8. Ground Moraine Ground moraine is a type of moraine, which is built of glacial drift. You can find here esker and kame. Near Zbójno you can also find Zbójnickie Drumlins.
9. Zbójnickie Drumlins Zbójnickie Drumlins arose as a result of the activity of a glacier and its waters. They are oblong hills built of clay and sand.
10. DRIFTS AND POSTGLACIAL FORMS Scandinavian island ice left behind a lot of drifts and postglacial forms. The next figure shows the most important of them.

12. Postglacial landforms Our region has a number of post-glacial lakes - large and small, and numerous postglacial forms. These are esker and kame.
15. Climate Poland belongs to the moderate climate zone. The coldest month is January and the warmest July. Temperature during the year ranges between 18 C in summer and - 2 ° C in winter. Precipitation ranges from 580 to 450 mm and are among the lowest in the country.
16. Plants Flora of our region is quite rich. There are over 70kinds of plants.

18. Forest Forests cover 25% of our region. Pine forests, growing on poor soils which predominate here. Other forests are deciduous ones.
19. Animals Rivers and lakes are inhabited by fish. In the woods you can find birds, mammals and reptiles.

21. Drwęca Valley The great attraction of the region is a beautiful valley, where the Drwęca river flows. It is very clean and attractive to the public.
22. Because of its charm and richness of fish, the river has been a nature reserve since 1961.
24. Postglacial lakes In our region there are many postglacial lakes. The main reservoirs are Grodno and Okonin, which attract many tourists from the city.
31. Soil 85% of soils in our region was evaluated as good and average. The main soil types are brown ones. Drab and poorer occur mostly in the valley of the Drwęca river.
33. Economy - agriculture Golub-Dobrzyń county is mainly agricultural. The area used for agriculture is 43.4 thousand. ha, which represents approximately 70.9% of the total. 41. Industry – natural resources In our region there are postglacial raw materials - sand and gravel. They are mined in many places. Sand and gravel are used for the purposes of local industry to produce concrete elements.
