This is about what the   OPMS   looks like, and, very briefly,  what you can do with it - check out what follows here… About  ‘The One Page Management System’ (OPMS) Contains ‘overlay’ animations :   Please download and save to your hard disk,  then   use your F5 key to run the presentation!   (Scrolling through this presentation without actually running it will  SURELY  be very confusing!) A number of ‘Missions’ are articulated at the next slide.  Several of them – particularly the ‘individual Missions’ and some of the ‘organizational Missions’  – have been successfully tackled using the  OPMS!  (The societal Missions have not been tried). “ What are the BARRIERS/ DIFFICULTIES/ THREATS that may hinder or prevent accomplishment of your Mission?” “ To ensure this organisation becomes truly innovative!”  “ To ensure that the CIC becomes a truly effective instrument for the people who need access to public information!” …  HOW TO  overcome  BARRIERS, DIFFICULTIES, THREATS and WEAKNESSES (that may hinder or prevent accomplishment of the Mission)? … …  HOW TO  organize  the THINGS TO DO to accomplish the Mission in the most effective way possible? … … showing all the lists of  ALL  ideas, in all  relevant Dimensions, that may be involved in accomplishment of the specified Mission – along with all the models showing relationships between the ideas… …  STRENGTHS… … (for Individuals): HOW TO get hold of the good ideas from wherever they are available, and  most effectively  integrate them into my working plans! …  “ What are the THINGS TO DO to accomplish your Mission?” The heart of the matter of course lies in how to construct those “HOW TO…” models!  It takes a very little learning (and a little ‘unlearning’) to construct and use  these models effectively… …  (for groups): HOW TO integrate  ALL  good ideas, from wherever they may arise, so that the group can develop an effective Action Plan in true consensus! Then, respond to questions about various aspects of that Mission: …  WEAKNESSES … It’s a comprehensive ‘model of models’… Next slide:  What happens within the ‘ OPMS  Framework’ OPMS software now ready  (in prototype!) What the  OPMS  looks like: …  HOW TO  prepare  myself/ourselves so as to be able to grab OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE most effectively as they may arise! …  (and so on) “ To develop the OPMS software” “ To double our turnover, with adequate profitability – within 1 year”  “ To understand all topics in my math syllabus – and thereby to do very well in my math exams” … OPPORTUNITIES … …  Etc… As you collect and clarify available ideas about the relevant ‘elements’ of your system, you are enabled to construct models showing… “ To reduce attrition in the organization to  ----%, within 1 year from now” “ To align newcomers to the organization to the organization’s objectives effectively” “ To ensure 90% true literacy in the country within 10 years from today” [We have a detailed presentation to show you a pretty thorough justification of our claims. First, create a Mission – any Mission!
What Happens in  the OPMS Framework
To generate relevant ideas, we simply need to ask appropriate questions of the people who may have ideas about the issue under consideration The  OPMS  Framework – this is what happens within it Generating and Using Ideas The right people to ask are those actually involved in the issue in various ways – the real stakeholders in the issue To actually  USE  the ideas generated, here is what has to be done: Capture Ideas Record Ideas Organize and Integrate Ideas Create Lists! To Organize and Integrate Ideas: Construct models showing relationships between ideas! ●  Interpretive Structural Models ●   Field Representations ●   One Page Management System (OPMS) Implement the models! (i.e., Act on the models) Ensures effective Action Planning on any chosen Mission!
The  OPMS  Framework – this is what happens within it Creativity Innovation! Problem Solving & Decision Making –  for individual & groups! Change Management Knowledge Management Strategic Management Implementing Ideas! Individual Issues Organizational Issues Societal Issues … and much,  MUCH  else! Motivating  people… All above can be demonstrated and measured in live workshop sessions!

Processes to accomplish these tasks quite well known  in Management Science - but they’re generally not very effective because of the lack of the requirements sketched next: ,[object Object],Idea Generation tools Put the ideas together into an effective Action Plan! ,[object Object],[object Object],Processes to accomplish this task barely known to Management Science as it exists today! Integrate everything to create a true system! One Page Management System (OPMS) Processes for effective integration of ideas not known at all to Management Science! Where participants cannot all come together at the same place at the same time, a workshop could be conducted over the Internet.  Such ‘workshops’ - with participants entering into discussion mode for, say, an hour at a time several times a week -   will necessarily have to be spread out over several weeks (and they are not as effective as a live workshop with face-to-face interaction) A quick ‘live’  OPMS  session on a real issue chosen by participants (but  NOT  a full-scale workshop!) can be conducted during a 2-hour presentation Free copy of OPMS software to each participant in workshops!
