Obesity- Definition The definition of obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health, leading to reduced life expectancy and/or increased health problems. It differs from being overweight in that to be overweight is when you weigh more than the standard weight for a specific body type and obese is an excessive amount of body fat and at least ten percent over standard weight.
3. Contributors The two things that contribute to the rise in obesity are bad nutrition and lack of physical fitness.
4. Dangers of Obesity Obesity increases the likelihood of various diseases, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, breathing difficulties during sleep, certain types of cancer, and osteoarthritis.
