 “Write an article that explores how Chemistry is (or can be) used to solve a
 specific problem in a local or global context.”
General Draft Feedback:
    • Some students submitted full drafts
    • Some submitted populated writing frames with research
    • Some submitted a few paragraphs
    • Few gave an indication of next steps
    • About half have been citing/ referencing as they go along
                                      Final:

 General Tips:
     • Self-assess as you go to make sure nothing is missed
     • Ensure the problem is clearly outlined, in context
     • Give decent scientific explanations of how the solution works
     • Populate the citation manager as you research
     • Add in-text citations and references as you write to save time and errors
     • Use the standard submission template, with rubrics for self-assessment
     • Write in black, in a clear font
     • Include a line-space between paragraphs to make it easier to read.
     • 1.5 spacing helps

Better Living Through Chemistry “Write an article that explores how Chemistry is (or can be) used to solve a specific problem in a local or global context.” General Draft Feedback: • Some students submitted full drafts • Some submitted populated writing frames with research • Some submitted a few paragraphs • Few gave an indication of next steps • About half have been citing/ referencing as they go along Final: General Tips: • Self-assess as you go to make sure nothing is missed • Ensure the problem is clearly outlined, in context • Give decent scientific explanations of how the solution works • Populate the citation manager as you research • Add in-text citations and references as you write to save time and errors • Use the standard submission template, with rubrics for self-assessment • Write in black, in a clear font • Include a line-space between paragraphs to make it easier to read. • 1.5 spacing helps 6
