Thinking Globally – Acting Locally!
Thinking Globally – Acting Locally!
Global Citizenship is a for all ages from S1-6. However, in
 S2 it will be our whole school theme for the year.
 Each term will start with an assembly explaining the
 theme. During the term you will experience Global
 Citizenship education in a variety of lesson in different
 faculties. There will also be whole school events for our
 chosen themes.

 Each term will end with a week of house assemblies
 delivered by a group of YOU explaining what you have
 learned and experienced that term.



Thinking Globally – Acting Locally!
To help coordinate all this work there will be a
 Citizenship Committee made up of a few teachers and
 mainly pupils. There will also be a charities committee
 to coordinate the charity fundraising in the school which
 will also need pupils to volunteer for.
 There will also be whole school groups which you can
 chose to join such as Fair Trade and Amnesty
 International run by teachers at lunchtimes or after
 school.
 There is enough going on for you to have no excuse for
 not getting involved.
 More information will come
 during register periods.
