- Teaching students how to learn begins in Kindergarten. The earlier the student can be reached will assist the student throughout their scholastic career. Accessing Curriculum Through Technology Tools (ACTTT) is a newly developed model for providing access to students with disabilities within the general curriculum. The students worked in pairs or in a team and sharpened their communication skills while they worked on a variety of activities. The students used technology to share ideas, problem-solve, organize and construct concept maps.
- Technology is changing the way that teachers teach and students learn. Academic institutions are embracing technology because it is becoming a major deciding factor for attracting students and corporate partners. Social networking tools are helping to build connections within academic settings and the expansion of access to educational reference resources is supported by technological advances. These advances may lead to profound changes in the way courses are taught. Courses can become more student-centered and outcome-based than before. This will help students feel like they are able to design their own academic direction.
