This presentation provides an overview of the range of post-registration, MSc courses and modules that are provided by Sheffield Hallam University and cater for the educational needs of qualified practitioners working in the field of Radiotherapy, Oncology and/or Palliative & Supportive Care.

fully online, distance learning, with no
requirement to attend SHU in person
We have students from the UK, but also
internationally e.g. Canada, New
Zealand and Australia, Hong Kong,
Singapore, Nigeria, Ghana.....(to name a
few!)

We have approx. 200-300 students
studying on the course (or modules
attached to it) each year
60 credits of core modules, leaving 60
credits for individual choice of module
prior to the final dissertation

7. A course specifically designed for individuals
working in an advanced practice role
Formalises, validates and develops the expert
knowledge and skills required of this role; both
locally within their own workplace and in alignment
with those defined by the SCoR
A blend of work based learning and distance
learning
A tripartite agreement between the student, SHU
and employer is required
Individuals have 45 credits worth of elective
modules.
They must develop an ILP that reflect and supports
their defined scope of advanced practice

Most applicants work primarily within
planning, or there is a plan/aspiration to do
