With cross curricular collaboration key element of the KS3 PoS (QCA, 2009), this session explores how trainee teachers can creatively explore real and imaginary places and spaces through alternative useof written and visual texts.
This presentation draws upon work carried out between October 2005 and October 2009. The work is the collaboration of the English and geography tutors and trainees 2005-2010. Landscapes of language was a school and university project exploring teaching of tourism in Year 9 English lessons (see article Teaching Geography Spring 2007).
