2. Introduction You are probably thinking what the heck is phlebotomy also known as phlebotomist. Well a phlebotomist is a nurse that draws blood. The reason why I chose this career is because I wanted to be a nurse but I didn’t want to be a nurse that is in the room when the doctor is doing surgery. So I said hey how about I be a nurse that just draws blood. So I did a little research. Hopefully this research will help you succeed or be successful in choosing what career you want to be in.

Certification as a phlebotomist is available through several national credentialing agencies. A degree is not necessary to become a phlebotomist High School Preparation: concentrate on high school courses in algebra, biology, geometry, chemistry, computer skills, physics, health occupations/medical professions education, English, and physical education.

Another reason why I chose this career is because I hate seeing other people in need. So I thought that being a nurse (phlebotomist) would be the best career for me.
