Character Education Narrative
Our 21st
Century Education Pillar was Character Education. We made a PowerPoint on
our topic and we talked about what Character Education was and what its characteristics reflect.
Afterwards we talked about why it is important within the classroom and how it creates a sense
of respect to not only to the teacher but to other classmates and to other peoples as well. We then
talked about its role in 21st
Education and how teachers should model it to students. Some
students do not get Character Education from home so their teacher is all they have to look up to.
Next we talked about how to implement technology into Character Education. We then talked
about how students can go through conflict resolution the right way with their character
education skills and they how to the wrong way. We also gave various examples of how students
can improve their Character Education. Finally, we played a video of a little boy lying about
eating sprinkles when they were all over their face which supports our overall point of kids being
overall liars and that they aren’t taught to lie it just comes natural which proves the point that
Character Education needs to be taught in our classrooms.
