This document discusses MyScienceWork.com's POLARIS platform, which aggregates over 30 million research publications from various open access sources and user uploads. It uses an internal database and services to assign confidence ratings to metadata from different sources. The aggregation service aims to centralize and structure metadata to pre-populate new repositories, demonstrating how to leverage existing databases rather than asking researchers to deposit all their articles individually. The process covers challenges like author-publication matching and only including publications produced during the researcher's affiliation with an institution. The service can add pre-populated data to any existing institutional repository.
