Nile River
The Nile river was a very important source of
Ancient Egypt's food and agriculture. It provided
rich soil in the dry desert, enabling people to grow
more crops. Most of the food Ancient Egyptians ate
came from farming and planting, so the Nile River
was very useful.

The Ancient Egyptians divided their year into 3
seasons based on the cycles of the Nile River:
 Akhet (June-Sept.) - Flooding season; this is
when the Nile River started to flood
 Peret (Oct.-Feb.) - Growing season; in
October the flooding water would recede and it
would leave behind some rich and fertile soil
for the Egyptians to use. They would then start
  planting
 Shemu (Mar.-May.) – Harvesting season; this
is when the Egyptians would harvest all the
crops they planted and get ready for the next
  flood

Art
Ancient Egyptian art consisted of paintings,
   sculptures, architecture, pottery,
   sarcophaguses, and hieroglyphics.
The Ancient Egyptians’ art influence came
from their religions, their beliefs in what
afterlife would be like, and also from
nature. The Egyptians art-work was very
detailed and stunning to the eye.

made from linen. Linen is made from flax,
