Moodle is an open-source learning management system used by over 32 million users in 205 countries that can be integrated with virtual worlds like Second Life. The presenter discussed how Moodle and Second Life have been integrated through projects like SLOODLE, which allows users to attend classes, play games, and take quizzes in Second Life that then feed results back to the user's Moodle course page. Examples of integrated systems included attending classes at desks in Second Life and taking quizzes that report scores to Moodle.
