Manager should solicit feedback to learn how
engaged or connected the new hire feels to the
organization and their workgroup
Make sure employees actually are becoming
productive
Have a discussion of what contributions or
different job design the employee may be
thinking about for the future
Managers should formally recognize and
celebrate the employees first year
achievements.
Refine the Development Plan to address skill ,
performance and training gaps
Solicit feedback on the on-boarding process to
be able fine tune it and incorporate the
employee’s suggestions
