provide vision and purpose for the
organization and its employees.
Lack of purpose will greatly
demoralize your workforce, as they
will be like a rudderless ship tossing
and turning in a highly competitive
and everchanging marketplace.
Followers will not put in their best, as
they will have no objective or goals to
aim and achieve. They will not know
what is best for their company nor will
they know what is best for them.
It, therefore, becomes very important
for the leader to get the organization
and its employees behind a vision.
They need to think strategically and
have the foresightedness to
understand the future requirements of
their target audience.
Having a clear vision, however, is only
a half job done. The leader must
ensure that he has the right resources,
investment decisions, and motivated
employees along the way to turn that
vision into reality.
Daniel Assouline, the former chairman of e-
commerce solution provider UpClick, is a visionary
leader who has the right amount of attitude and
flexibility to energize and enthuse his employees.
A relentless worker and a realistic leader, Daniel
knows what will work for his organization and its

They make their followers believe that their
organization is there to fulfill an important need of the
society. Achievements of goals that the organization
has set will result in a better tomorrow for the
employees as well as the people it intends to serve.
Being inspirational as such is all about showing people
the bigger picture and helping them understand that
their individual contribution is of utmost importance
to complete the overall picture.
Motivated employees, who have a better idea of their
individual roles and responsibilities, will focus more
intensively on contributing to the overall development
and growth of the organization.
One truly memorable example of an
inspiring leader could be that of legendary
Apple CEO Steve Jobs. He lured the vice
president of Pepsi into Apple by asking
him, “Do you want to sell sugar water for
the rest of your life or do you want to
change the world?”
This example perfectly helps us
understand how a truly inspirational
leader can help generate motivation by
showing people the big picture and
helping them respond to their true calling.
