information. ActionScript includes built-in objects and functions and allows
you to create your own objects and functions. The ActionScript syntax and

JAVASCRIPT / DHTML
Applications
•
•

It is used to write Program's that are executed by a web-browser
within the context of web page on server side.
It can be used to write web server Program to process the data.

Java applet advantages:
•
•

it is simple to make it work on Windows, Mac OS and Linux, i.e. to
make it cross platform
the same applet can work on "all" installed versions of Java at the
same time, rather than just the latest plug-in version only

it can work without any security approval from the user - who doesn't
need to trust the software's author
it is supported by most web browsers
it will cache in most web browsers, so will be quick to load when
returning to a web page
it can have full access to the machine it is running on if the user
agrees
it can improve with use: after a first applet is run, the JVM is already
running and starts quickly, benefiting regular users of Java
it can run at a comparable (but generally slower) speed to other
compiled languages such as C++
it can be a real time application
it can move the work from the server to the client, making a web
solution more scalable with the number of users/clients

Disadvantages of applets
Java applet disadvantages:
•
•
•
•
•

it requires the Java plug-in, which isn't available by default on all web
browsers
it can't start up until the JVM is running, and this may have significant
startup time the first time it is used
if it is uncached, it must be downloaded (usually over the internet),
and this takes time
it is considered more difficult to build and design a good user interface
with applets than with HTML-based technologies
if untrusted, it has severely limited access to the user's system - in
particular having no direct access to the client's disc or clipboard

Logo is one of the main means for creating a corporate image. A good,
eye-catching logo attracts more and more customers. It's the first
graphical representation of your brand and a good opportunity to place
something unique on your cattle... should you have any. A logo is
where your corporate identity starts. We all know that first impressions
are important and your logo will be the first thing on which you will be
judged. It's your first line of offense in your sales force, so take your
time and make sure it represents everything you are made of. With all
of the mediums available today, your logo needs to easily transfer to
stationary, signage, video, mugs, pens and even a tattoo.

just can't help clicking on them and some you don't even notice on the page.
The banners we create are the first type. They are well designed, smart, and
aggressive, arouse curiosity.

Chapter 1. – Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

Lesson 1 – PPC
SEM is online marketing methods like email marketing, SMS marketing,
newsletter marketing and PPC. That means online sales through email
messages & picture messages.

o

Cost-per-click (CPC): You earn commissions with CPC
campaigns simply by providing a link that visitors to your web
site or readers of your newsletter click on and get redirected to
the campaign's landing page.

o

Cost-per-lead (CPA): With CPA campaigns, you earn
commissions based upon visitors to your website clicking on an
ad, arriving at the campaigns landing page and completing the
signup form. For you to receive credit for these visitors they
must complete the entire signup process and arrive at the
finishing thank-you page.

o

Cost-per-sale (CPS): CPS campaigns are very similar to CPA
campaigns, except that instead of simply signing up for
something, your visitor must complete a sale. These campaigns
pay you based on the total amount of completed sales.

Lesson 2 - email Marketing
Email marketing is prepare a email for a company and send that email to
customers. Newsletter marketing is design a newsletter and send to the
customers through bulk email sending softwares. Many companies do this as
a major service. Some other companies sell their registered emails to other
companies for this purpose. This method of marketing technology is now
quickly increase and get more valid results quickly.

Web Hosting
Web hosting is nothing but a file was uploaded to a bought space on server.
Types of hosting
Hosting services limited to the web :
•

•

•

•

•
•

Free web hosting service : is free, (sometimes) advertisementsupported web hosting, and is extremely limited when compared to
pay hosting.
Shared web hosting service : one's Web site is placed on the same
server as several hundred other sites. These are somewhat restricted
to what can be done.
Dedicated web hosting service : the user gets his or her own Web
server and gains full control over it (root access for
Linux/administrator access for Windows); however, the user does not
own the server.
Colocation web hosting service : similar to the dedicated web
hosting service, but the user owns the server; the hosting company
provides physical space that the server takes up and takes care about
the server. This is the most powerful and expensive type of the web
hosting service.
Reseller web hosting : allows clients to become web hosts
themselves.
Clustered hosting

Some specific web services:
•
•
•

File hosting service : hosts not web pages but files
Image hosting service
Blog hosting service

Windows 2003 Hosting Advantages :
•

•

•

•

Windows Server 2003 provides an IT infrastructure that delivers
fundamental value: improved reliability, better availability, and
increased scalability .

Usually means the syntax used in the URL is
400 Bad File Request incorrect (e.g., uppercase letter should be lowercase
letter; wrong punctuation marks).
401 Unauthorized

Server is looking for some encryption key from the
client and is not getting it. Also, wrong password
may have been entered. Try it again, paying close
attention to case sensitivity.

403
Forbidden/Access
Denied

Similar to 401; special permission needed to access
the site -- a password and/or username if it is a
registration issue. Other times you may not have
the proper permissions set up on the server or the
site's administrator just doesn't want you to be able
to access the site.

404 File Not Found

Server cannot find the file you requested. File has
either been moved or deleted, or you entered the
wrong URL or document name. Look at the URL. If a
word looks misspelled, then correct it and try it
again. If that doesn't work backtrack by deleting
information between each backslash, until you come
to a page on that site that isn't a 404. From there
you may be able to find the page you're looking for.

Client stopped the request before the server finished
retrieving it. A user will either hit the stop button,
408 Request Timeout close the browser, or click on a link before the page
loads. Usually occurs when servers are slow or file
sizes are large.
