- Welcome to Social Networking and your new job. My name is Nicole Jackson Doss and I will be your facilitator for this training.
- In today’s job market, its becoming important for applicants to stand out from others. Employers understand the importance of getting the right people in the right positions that know how to impact an organization in little to no time. The issue is that recruiters can not always be sure to find that perfect candidate by sourcing through a database of endless resumes. The need to change this needle in a haystack approach of recruiting has become the focus of many HR professionals in the last 5 years. Recruiters have turned to social networking to expand their network and gain access to more talented professionals who are looking for new job opportunities. As a recent graduate, you will be ready to seek job opportunities. Knowing how to get noticed and how to increase your visibility to recruiters will play an integral part of your job search
- Today we will discuss how you can get noticed by recruiters by utilizing social networks. By the end of the session, you will learn how to create a profile to market and brand your accomplishments and work experience, invite individuals to become a professional connection which will expand your network, and conduct productive job search that will yield results.
