Distance education advantages 1- It is require no moving therefore saving time and money. 2-You complete most of the classes in your own pace without pressure. 3-Contribute to raising the cultural level, scientific and social standing of the members of the community. 4-You can live anywhere in the world and study anywhere in the world. 5-Taking computer and internet skills will gain you extra information and knowledge while you are learning. 6-Flexibility for the students with irregular work schedules. 7-Study materials at own speed, without having to wait for the rest of your classmates or being overwhelmed in fast paced classroom. 8-Web-based resources such as online textbooks, case studies, syllabi, study guides, workbooks, reading resources and more.

Disadvantages of distance education 1-Sometimes the technology is costly and complex. 2-Oftentimes the instructors and the students need to make schedule for the time to get everything done. 3-Distance education dose not offer an immediate feedback contrary to what is happening in the traditional classroom, the student has to wait to get the feedback. 4-“Does not give the students the opportunity to work on oral communication skills”. 5- Students often times miss the social interaction that accompanies the traditional classroom on campus. 6-It does not offer all the coursework resources online for each degree programs. Finally, distance education is a great technology but unfortunately there are still many distance education disadvantages that developers and educators are trying to solve and overcome through use of technology.
