A list of all the centers we used between three classes for math review days!

1. Magnificent Math Groups of 4 Bring your math spiral or a clipboard and paper. AND a pencil! Complete each MATH CENTER in each classroom. Have a partner check your answers Fix any problems that you missed 8 minutes at each station 1 hour in each room

2. Add / Subtract Add the numbers on the purple cards. Be sure to do all 10 problems! Subtract the numbers on the purple cards. Be sure to do all 10 problems! Check your answers with the calculator.

3. Geometry Using your “Student Reference Book,” look in the glossary for these words and write their definitions on your paper. Rotation, Reflection, Translation Number your paper 1-20 Tell what each picture is… Rotation – spins Reflection – flips over Translation – slides over

4. Number Words Number your paper 1-20 Write the number that these words are the same as. For example: two=2 nine=9 seventeen=17 forty three=43

5. Clocks Number your paper 1-9 Write the answers to the questions on the worksheet in your spiral. Using the small clocks, show your partner the times that are listed.

6. Transparent Mirrors Using only 3 pattern blocks, build a design on your paper. Using the purple mirrors, draw the reflected image of your design. Repeat this process at least 5 times.

7. Temperature Number your paper from 1-9 Find the temperatures on the worksheet. Solve the riddle at the bottom of the worksheet. Using the paper thermometers, show your partner the temperatures listed. (Thank you to Mr. H 2nd grade for loaning us the thermometers they made!)

8. Computers Go to www.VisualFractions.com Play “Cookies for Grampy” two times. Play “Find Grampy” two times. Play any other game on this website after you have played these 2 games the required number of times.

9. Place Value Put the numbers in order according to their place value name. Scramble and time each other using the clock on the wall

10. Coordinate Grids Use the coordinates on the paper to plot your points. Glue small square into your notebook Promethean Board Activity

16. Area & Perimeter Play the Everyday Math Game “Rugs and Fences” with a partner.

17. Add / Subtract Fractions Number on top changes Number on bottom (if same) stays the same

18. Area / Perimeter Perimeter: Add all the sides together area: multiply the length of 2 sides

19. Mixed Number Fractions Name the fraction pictured

20. Pattern Blocks Make patterns (aa,bb,aa,bb) Make fractions “play” talk using words Hexagon, trapezoid, rhombus, triangle, square, 2nd rhombus

21. Fraction Sticks / Circles Make groups that equal 1 whole Organize into smallest to largest Copy into book and label
