 People with less ability but stronger “will” are able to
perform better than people with superior ability and lack of
“will”. This “will” to do is known as Motivation.
 The word motivation is derived from motive that is defined
as an active form of desire, craving or need that must be
    satisfied.

                                       Shakehand with Life 4/20/2011 7:55:45 AM 1
 “Motivation represents an unsatisfied need which creates a
state of tension or disequilibrium, causing the individual to
move in a goal directed pattern towards restoring a state of
equilibrium, by satisfying the need.” ………Viteles

                                        Shakehand with Life 4/20/2011 7:50:17 AM 2
 The concept of motivation can be traced back nearly 23
centuries back to the Greek and Indian writings.
 We can achieve the final “oneness with God”, “Nirvana” ,
motivates us to be “good” people …………Most Ancient
    Concept given by Aryan thinkers.

                                     Shakehand with Life 4/20/2011 7:50:17 AM 3
 People seek pleasure and comfort and avoid pain and
    discomfort.
 Too narrow-minded and is empirically insignificant.
 It does not attempt to evaluate why some people would
sometimes risk their own lives to save others in times of crisis.

                                          Shakehand with Life 4/20/2011 7:50:17 AM 4
