Corruption In Martin Luther s Open Letter To The Christian...
In Martin Luther s, Open Letter to the Christian Nobility, he describes three points of justification,
which the Romanists/Catholics have previously used to defend themselves, to build a wall around
them so that no one has a reason to be able to reform the Catholic Church. As a result, these excuses
offered by the Romanists, in order to avoid a reformation, has been the cause of terrible corruption
throughout all Christendom. First, when pressed by the secular powers, the Romanists have issued
commands and have established that these secular powers have no jurisdiction over them. However,
on the other hand, the Romanists have also established that the spiritual is above the secular power.
Secondly, an attempt is made by the temporal powers

Who Is Scott Joplin, The King Of Ragtime
Scott Joplin
Scott Joplin, the King of Ragtime was a revolutionary musician of the 20th century. Scott Joplin s
determination allowed him to bring life to the Ragtime genre. He worked hard to bring the sound of
Ragtime into younger generations. Did you know that Jazz came from Ragtime, so without Scott we
wouldn t have Jazz ( Kids Music Corner RSS ). Scott Joplin brought life to Ragtime, created the first
black operas, and the first Ragtime musicals. Scott Joplin altered the music of the 20th century.
Scott traveled America performing his songs for people who have never heard Ragtime. He traveled
through western and eastern America and played at many saloons throughout Texas ( Kids Music
Corner RSS ). Scott also wrote the first Ragtime ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He taught at a school in Texas to young children before he moved to New York ( Scott Joplin
developed ragtime music and Black opera ). He taught black slaves in Texas during their breaks for
free. When he was young, he was a slave and music brought him happiness, so he wanted that for
other children slaves ( Scott Joplin developed ragtime music and Black opera ). Sometimes, after his
concerts while traveling, kids would stay afterwards to learn simple songs from Scott ( Scott Joplin
developed ragtime music and Black opera ).
As a result of Scott s hard work, the Ragtime genre carried on long after his death. A few of the
students he taught became famous Ragtime musicians and composers, like Arthur Marshell ( Bio.com
). After his death, his Ragtime musicals nearly tripled in sales ( Bio.com ). As years went by the
Ragtime genre was modified into what we now called Jazz ( Bio.com ).
From bringing life to Ragtime, creating the first black opera, and starting one the the most popular
genres in music, Scott Joplin has made quite an influence in music history. He bring fame the genre of
ragtime, which then was disliked by most people, and made it popular all over America. So the next
time you hear the famous tune Maple Leaf Rag or The Entertainer you can think of the amazing
backstory that led to the creation of

Battle Royale Analysis
When Battle Royale first made its debut to the world, there were already concerns from the
government and parents about its effects on teenagers. Despite the Motion Picture Code Committee
restricting admission to anyone under sixteen, teenagers still camped out for two days to see the
opening screening (G. Sparks and C. Sparks 269). The film was controversial for its extreme violence,
but the reactions of the adults to try and control their children tellingly echoed the conflict within the
film itself, something its director had purposefully highlighted. Kinji Fukasaku used props throughout
his film to represent the challenging relationships between the older and younger generations of Japan.
Based in real life encounters and the failings of the Japanese school system, Fukasaku brought the
conflicts between the government, parents, teachers, and students to the screen in a darkly humorous
bloodbath.
Authority Figures versus Children
To better understand Fukasaku s approach to his film, it will help to examine his own childhood. As a
young teenager, Fukasaku grew up in a country plagued by the horrors of World War II:
His class was drafted into the war effort, and they found themselves working in a munitions factory.
[...] The classmates were caught in a barrage of artillery fire. [...] The survivors of the attack used the
corpses of their friends as cover and, after the violence has passed, Fukasaku and his surviving friends
were given the task of disposing of the body parts

Divorce Causes in the United States Essay
According to Webster s dictionary marriage is an institution whereby men and women are joined in a
special kind of social and legal dependence for the purpose of founding and maintaining a family.
Marriages don t always last in divorce. Some spouses are unable to maintain or keep their relationship,
so they divorce. when any couple wants to get married they should have something in common and
share the same values, religion, beliefs or interest , so that they can minimize bad ending as break up
.Divorce has physical and mental health effects especially on children and women and it can affect the
whole society. Divorce between parents can be disastrous and painful on children. The children in a

Divorce has a deep impact on women. The divorce can leave women feeling depressed, tired, not
confident or assured, and sometime hopeless. Sometimes women can lose their self esteem and
instead, have a sense of insecurity and guilt. They start to blame themselves. How the community
looks at divorced women is the most painful thing, because they usually put the blame on women.
This may cause them to avoid people and maybe isolate themselves .However some women look at
divorce in positive way .They think that divorce is the end of a miserable, unhappy and uncomfortable
marriage. Divorce is not a good thing. It usually impacts our health in negative way. Yale research
concluded that, being divorced and a non smoker are only slightly less dangerous than smoking a pack
a day and staying married. After some research on cancer they discovered that married people are
more likely to recover more than divorced and the emotional trauma of divorce has an impact on the
physical health of the body.
Divorce impacts whole society so that, many religions are against divorce. For example, ISLAM
disapproves of divorce. Even though it is allowed, it must be the last solution because divorce not only
affect on the couple or their children, but also the whole society. If there are a lot of divorces in a
community, it means they don t have strong bonds or relationships among the people. Divorce makes
people lose confidence in marriage and

Essay On Articles Of Confederation
For the past decade, we have been living under the government of the Articles of Confederation, if that
can be called a government at all. Under that folly of a constitution, we have barely existed, Congress
weaker than a mewling baby. We are named the United States of America, but under the Articles of
Confederation, we are nothing more than the squabbling states somewhat nearby each other. We could
get nothing done under the Articles. Each state has a veto power, and each state has an agenda. This
means that any legislation a state disgrees with will not pass. In a decade, we have accomplished little
beyond settling the western matter, our Congress and national government ineffectual and broke. The
states have too much power, conducting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even under the amended Articles of Confederation, we have little power to run our country. We have
nothing if not our people and our pride, and we are losing both. The people of this nation are losing
their faith in the Articles and this government, and for good reason. We have failed to govern. The
Constitution promises that we can both ensure the safety and the liberties of our people. It is an
agreement between the nation and the states between the nation and our society. Federalism is the idea
of sharing power, which all will do so willingly. The farmers of our nation have declared the Articles a
tyranny, going so far as acting in rebellion against it. It is our job to listen to these rebellions and
defiances, for that was how began our own country. Under the Constitution, here shall be no tyranny,
for what tyrant can there be when power is shared? All three branches of the government will work
together to reign the nation and reign each other. The Constitution is our utopian idea of a new,
indelible government, one where all work from all levels to protect and serve. Those of us who hold
power in this government wil be fallible and imperfect, subject to our faults and agencies, but the
Constitution shall remain there always, to uphold our ideals and to shield those under our care from
war and famine, and from our government

We Were Liars
The novel We Were Liars by E. Lockhart tells the story of Cadence Sinclair Eastman, a privileged girl
who comes from a wealthy family and prestigious bloodline. Cadence spends her summers on

summer, Cadence is found severely injured in water by the beach and suffers intense migraines that
prevent her of remembering the cause of her accident. Her mother and her family members refuse to

However, when you look deeper into the scenarios the mini story is telling, Lockhart manages to retell
what is going on in the book in a more metaphorical sense. For instance, towards the end of the novel,
once Cadence figured out the truth behind her accident, she tells one last Once Upon a Time story.
This last story talks about three beautiful children with hopes and aspirations and one witch who was
jealous of the children s success and beauty. The witch places a curse on the three beautiful children so
that they will die in a fire at the age of sixteen. The witch found them again when they were fifteen
and disguised herself into a beautiful maiden so she can trick them into starting the fire. A start a fire
the beautiful children did, and the witch watched as all of their wonderful qualities disappear in smoke
(197 198). This last story that Cadence tells illustrates the guilt Cadence feels about Johnny, Mirren,
and Gat s death. Cadence feels as if she was the cause of it all and took away everything they could
have been. In the retelling, nowhere does it directly state that the story is about Cadence, Johnny,
Mirren. And Gat. Through the use of semantics, the audience looks for the

Essay on Atilla the Hun and Genghiz Khan
1. Attila the Hun, Genghiz Khan, and Tamerlane share the same reputation of brutal, blood thirsty
barbarians who were after nothing more (or less) but the destruction of the so called civilized world.
Do they deserve this reputation or a case can be made in defense of one or all of these leaders?
Attila the Hun
Attila the Hun and his brother Bleda became joint leader of the empire after their father Mundzuk was
supposedly killed by his brother, who took over the empire but was exiled because they thought him
the killer of Mundzuk. They began to rule at about 435, but Bleda was killed in a supposedly hunting

Tamerlane
Tamerlane was an Islamic leader, who was called Timur the Lame as a result of a war injury that
causes him to limp. He has battled without mercy with those that refuse to surrender, he saw them as
the cause of their problems. Although he was a great soldier, but many were relief at his death in 1405,
because he d burned and buried people alive, built building with human captives, destroyed peoples
farmland etc. Unfortunately he failed to set future goals for his empire like Genghiz Khan had done.
Due to his poor administration, his empire was taken over by the Uzbeks [1].
These men were great warriors, I believed they must have been called barbarians because they d
sacrifice even family for what they think benefits the empire. Just like Attila the Hun supposedly got
rid of his brother. Their diplomatic style suggests them to be smart and not just cut throats. I believe
Attila the Hun and Genghiz Khan where the most strategic, their empire last longer than Tamerlane,
who was obviously cruel and very well deserve to be called a barbarian.

A Study Done By Vrangalova ( 2015 ) Essay
A study done by Vrangalova (2015) suggests that casual sex can form negative outcomes. In the study
it suggests that the self esteem of women will decrease due to more negative outcomes when it comes
to hooking up. While the men experience more positive outcomes of hooking up therefore their self
esteem increases. In the current study the effects of hooking up and self esteem between men and
women will be tested using a survey that involves Rosenberg s Self Esteem Scale. A correlation
method will help determine if the effects of hooking up amongst men and women are different, while
the self esteem of men increase and the women s self esteem decrease.
Effects of Hooking Up on Self Esteem amongst Men and Women When thinking back on your time in
college what comes to mind? All the late nights you stayed up studying? How you were always
stressed out and sleep deprived? The parties and the amount of alcohol consumed? Or that time you
had a one night stand with someone you met at a party?
Most of the events resemble a typical college experience, especially since research has found that
hooking up is prevalent on college campuses more than ever. There has been studies conducted to
determine if engaging in hook ups is harmful to one s self. There has been a few longitudinal studies
that have shown hooking up has some positive effects, but more negative effects than positive. A study

Coaches generally make rules on teams that there is no shaving permitted at least a month before a
meet. This is because the hair causes drag through the water making you slower and when you taper

Swimmers are also known to eat tremendous amounts of food. People assume since we are in such
great shape that we are cautious about our calories intake and nutrition but in reality we eat whatever
we want and in unlimited amounts. Mondays after practices we would go to Moe Monday and order
two burritos and follow by a double scooped ice cream cone from Brusters. I would eat roughly
around eight thousand calories a day but a professional swimmer averages around twelve thousand
calories.

Analysis Of Absurd By Albert Camus
Presumably, since the beginning of time, we, as human beings, have tirelessly sought out answers
toward a greater, predetermined and/or significant purpose in our lives. The question is still
unanswered, but the desire remains what is the point? The contradiction between searching for order,
reason or existential purpose and the inability to find any type of purpose in an essentially
meaningless and indifferent universe is what French philosopher, Albert Camus, considered Absurd.
Any hopeful searching for concrete meanings is met with the discouraging and disheartening
realization that there are no true meanings. For many of us, the idea of the world being made with no
fated purpose or that any individual effort made toward changing the ... Show more content on

In the show, both title characters, Rick and Morty, inhabit expendable worlds that are easily
replaceable with the push of Rick s self created portal gun. Any species perception of self importance

For example, in the eyes of citizens of Earth whichever Earth Rick and Morty may be on the idea of
destroying a planet and its inhabitants by the Cromulons, a species of enormous floating heads
introduced in the episode, Get Schwifty, appears as an act of wickedness and cruelty. For the
Cromulons, destroying planets and its inhabitants is a form of entertainment as they are hosts of an
intergalactic game show where planets are picked and its inhabitants must create and sing a song in
order to make it to the next round or be faced with watching their worlds end. Think of this episode as
an episode of NBC s America s Got Talent, but with giant floating boulder textured heads, with egos
that are bigger than the combination Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and whoever the other
interchangeable host is. This is also an episode where the citizens of Earth questioned their religious
beliefs, eventually tying a thief, a gothic woman, and a movie talker to a bouquet of balloons, in hopes
that they will float toward their newfound gods, the Cromulons, for

Odysseus, A Real Hero
Odysseus, King of Ithaca
How do you define a hero? In the adventures of The Odyssey, an epic poem written by Homer,
Odysseus, a Greek war hero goes through a series of adventures and tests to return to his homeland of
Ithaca. In his journey, Odysseus must prove that he is an able leader. Throughout the epic poem the
Odyssey, Odysseus portrays this example of an able leader as, he is very intellectual and quick
minded, and he is very brave and courageous.
Odysseus is very intelligent and quick minded in many dangerous situations. For example, when he
was sailing back from Troy he mentions to his men while plundering Ismarus, Back, and quickly! Out
to sea again! (Homer 993). In the situation while plundering this stronghold, he warns his men not to
be greedy and that the fight is not over till it is over. This displays how wise Odysseus is and that he
has a smart mind. Additionally, Odysseus shows some quick thinking in the encounter with the
Cyclops as, My name is Nohbdy: mother, father, and friends, everyone calls me Nohbdy (999). Even
Odysseus is upset, he can still remain calm and vigilant. While he was in Polyphemus s cave, he is
quick enough to confuse and trick the Cyclops so that when he screams out that Nohbdy had ruined
and attacked him, none of the other Cyclops s will come to his aid. Finally, in some situations
Odysseus was having hard times to control his men yet he continually maintained his determination to
get his crew and himself back to Ithaca. This

Relationship Between Eros And Thanatos In Macbeth
Freudian theory dictates the complex physiological analysis of the unconscious and conscious mind.
Through analysis of the play Macbeth , it is possible to determine the reasons for the actions
undertaken by as a result of the human id, more specifically the Eros and Thanatos. Macbeth s
uncontrolled ambition eventually leads to his downfall and is primarily a result of greed. However,
greed is in favour of the death instinct. In order to have a complete understanding of Eros and
Thanatos, one must have a complete review of psychoanalysis and the human id. An analysis of the
themes and characters of the play will prove that Macbeth undertakes his actions due to both sides of
the human id but is also subconsciously influenced by other aspects such as lady Macbeth.
The human id is a physiological idea conceived by revolutionary Sigmund Freud. His 1920 paper

Sigmund Freud, the creator of psychoanalysis, believed that it was impossible to come to any decision
about the motives as the play advanced to quickly to come to a conjecture. Regardless, Macbeth s
ambition and greed came into context in the first act when he said, Stars hide your fires; Let not light
see my black and deep desires. He follows by talking about which the eye fears or in other words, the
deed he was about to commit. (I.IV.53 54) His desire to commit a treacherous act even when he knows
it could destroy him clearly shows that Macbeth has a considerable amount of energy created by the
death drive at the subconscious level. In his 1920 essay, Freud states, the goal of all life is death and
that what negates this is the drive towards life. (Freud.7) Relating back to Macbeth, it is argued that
there must be both sides to the psychoanalytic spectrum in regards to the motivator for an

A Study Of The Dodd Frank Act Essay
2010 2016: A Study of the Dodd Frank Act s Role in a Slow U.S. Economic Recovery After the 2008
Financial Crisis
The role that the Dodd Frank Act plays in the slow economic recovery from the 2008 financial crisis
has many aspects. The regulatory and compliance component of the law helped to contribute to the
slow economic recovery by adversely affecting the banking industry s ability to provide credit
specifically the community banks, ability to provide enough credit to the small business and start up
companies. The purpose of this paper is to show that there was a connection between the slow
economic recovery and the Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The 2007
financial crisis had been called the great recession because it was so severe. The government
especially the Federal Reserve took unprecedented action to stabilize the market. The Federal Reserve
is the central bank of the United State established in 1913. Hubbard and O Brien state that The Federal
Reserve is task with monetary policy which is the management of the money supply and interest rate
to pursue macroeconomic policy objectives (11).
There are three major types of financial crisis banking, debt and currency however there is no
universal definition of a financial crisis. The 2008 financial crisis was a banking crisis it actually
started in 2007. Researchers had define a banking crisis as severe stress on the financial system, such

During that time, Meliodas was a Holy Knight for another kingdom, so afterwards, years later, he
became a Great Holy Knight in Danafor. He rescued a slave girl named Liz during this time even
though she protested against him. Liz began to fall in love with Meliodas after the two had grown

Revised Order Of The Sacraments Of Initiation
Revised Order of the Sacraments of Initiation Bishop Álvaro Corrada said, The sacraments draw
humanity into the truth and love of God revealed in Christ, thereby disposing the faithful to live this
love more deeply in their daily lives of Christian freedom and witness. They serve to introduce us into
the Catholic Church, increase our understanding of our religion, bestow upon us essential Christian
virtues, and strengthen our faith. There are seven sacraments in total: Baptism, Confirmation,
Eucharist, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Marriage.
The first three Sacraments listed are the Sacraments of Initiation. The Sacraments of Christian
Initiation Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist lay the foundations of every Christian life...By
means of these Sacraments of Christian Initiation, [we] thus receive in increasing measure the
treasures of the divine life and advance toward the perfection of charity. (CCC Chapter 1, Article
2:1212) These sacraments represent our birth into the Church, the seal of our birth into the Church,
and the reception of Jesus body. In the words of the Catholic Church, The Christian is born anew by
Baptism, strengthened by Confirmation, and receives in the Eucharist the food of eternal life. (CCC
Chapter 1, Article 2:1212)
In the early Church, the three Sacraments of Initiation were practiced in one significant process. When
the person reached a point of spiritual maturity (usually as an adult, contrary to today), he

Historic Treaties And Its Effects On The Peoples Of This...
INSERT SOMETHING ABOUT SOCIOLOGY PAPER. Historic treaties continue to be relevant in
Canada today because ever since Christopher Columbus arrived to an undiscovered continent, he
managed to employ detrimental consequences to the peoples of this land. The treaty was one of the
colonial processes that would allow for the exploitation of the First Nations. Many Aboriginal
Signatories to treaties understood the treaty agreements as being the foundation of a relationship with
the Crown and that this relationship would be based on co existence versus the crown, creating them
as a surrendering of the land with only small reserve retained, and limited hunting in those territories.
These treaties are important today because they try to go about who has land claim to a certain area
and they show that some treaties were compiled by the British with the poorer intentions of the
Aboriginals. However, the documents and treaties that the British drafted and passed, would create a
paper trail of vast amounts of exploitation. Treaties show prevalence today because they can
demonstrate how convoluted the history of Canada s relationships with the Aboriginal peoples is. One
factor that makes this history perplexing is trying to fathom who has claim to the lands that people
stand on. Moreover, when the government was willing to substantiate what scheme they wanted to
employ in order to solve the issue of cohabitation of the aboriginal peoples. Historically, in the fur
trader era, it was

film portrays the true crime story of Loeb and Leopold as also written about in Superman s Crime, by

In the film Rope an entire evening of a dinner party is held in the same room where there is a dead
body in a book chest. The guests are completely impervious of the chest disguised as a buffet table.
Only the viewers and the two hosts were conscious of the truth that lay near them. In Superman s
Crime we are given in depth detail about Loeb and Leopold s master plan before it has taken place.
Hitchcock did not show the viewers what happened prior to the strangulation of David or subsequent
to the call made to the police. This was an engrossing way of filming a movie. The movie was made to
look like it was taken in one continuous shot. This caused the viewer to know what happened the
whole time. In both the true crime story and film the readers and viewers were knew what was going
on during the entire plot scene. These were great definitions of what a dramatic irony is. But the way
Hitchcock does not include the premeditation of the murder is powerful in itself. This glamorized the
plotline by showing a clean scene with no obvious camera

  • 2. Corruption In Martin Luther s Open Letter To The Christian... In Martin Luther s, Open Letter to the Christian Nobility, he describes three points of justification, which the Romanists/Catholics have previously used to defend themselves, to build a wall around them so that no one has a reason to be able to reform the Catholic Church. As a result, these excuses offered by the Romanists, in order to avoid a reformation, has been the cause of terrible corruption throughout all Christendom. First, when pressed by the secular powers, the Romanists have issued commands and have established that these secular powers have no jurisdiction over them. However, on the other hand, the Romanists have also established that the spiritual is above the secular power. Secondly, an attempt is made by the temporal powers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Battle Royale Analysis When Battle Royale first made its debut to the world, there were already concerns from the government and parents about its effects on teenagers. Despite the Motion Picture Code Committee restricting admission to anyone under sixteen, teenagers still camped out for two days to see the opening screening (G. Sparks and C. Sparks 269). The film was controversial for its extreme violence, but the reactions of the adults to try and control their children tellingly echoed the conflict within the film itself, something its director had purposefully highlighted. Kinji Fukasaku used props throughout his film to represent the challenging relationships between the older and younger generations of Japan. Based in real life encounters and the failings of the Japanese school system, Fukasaku brought the conflicts between the government, parents, teachers, and students to the screen in a darkly humorous bloodbath. Authority Figures versus Children To better understand Fukasaku s approach to his film, it will help to examine his own childhood. As a young teenager, Fukasaku grew up in a country plagued by the horrors of World War II: His class was drafted into the war effort, and they found themselves working in a munitions factory. [...] The classmates were caught in a barrage of artillery fire. [...] The survivors of the attack used the corpses of their friends as cover and, after the violence has passed, Fukasaku and his surviving friends were given the task of disposing of the body parts ... Under that folly of a constitution, we have barely existed, Congress weaker than a mewling baby. We are named the United States of America, but under the Articles of Confederation, we are nothing more than the squabbling states somewhat nearby each other. We could get nothing done under the Articles. Each state has a veto power, and each state has an agenda. This means that any legislation a state disgrees with will not pass. We have nothing if not our people and our pride, and we are losing both. The people of this nation are losing their faith in the Articles and this government, and for good reason. We have failed to govern. The Constitution promises that we can both ensure the safety and the liberties of our people. It is an agreement between the nation and the states between the nation and our society. Federalism is the idea of sharing power, which all will do so willingly. The farmers of our nation have declared the Articles a tyranny, going so far as acting in rebellion against it. It is our job to listen to these rebellions and defiances, for that was how began our own country. Under the Constitution, here shall be no tyranny, for what tyrant can there be when power is shared? All three branches of the government will work together to reign the nation and reign each other. The Constitution is our utopian idea of a new, indelible government, one where all work from all levels to protect and serve. Those of us who hold power in this government wil be fallible and imperfect, subject to our faults and agencies, but the Constitution shall remain there always, to uphold our ideals and to shield those under our care from war and famine, and from our government ... In the adventures of The Odyssey, an epic poem written by Homer, Odysseus, a Greek war hero goes through a series of adventures and tests to return to his homeland of Ithaca. In his journey, Odysseus must prove that he is an able leader. Throughout the epic poem the Odyssey, Odysseus portrays this example of an able leader as, he is very intellectual and quick minded, and he is very brave and courageous. Odysseus is very intelligent and quick minded in many dangerous situations. For example, when he was sailing back from Troy he mentions to his men while plundering Ismarus, Back, and quickly! Out to sea again! (Homer 993). In the situation while plundering this stronghold, he warns his men not to be greedy and that the fight is not over till it is over. Additionally, Odysseus shows some quick thinking in the encounter with the Cyclops as, My name is Nohbdy: mother, father, and friends, everyone calls me Nohbdy (999). Even Odysseus is upset, he can still remain calm and vigilant. While he was in Polyphemus s cave, he is quick enough to confuse and trick the Cyclops so that when he screams out that Nohbdy had ruined and attacked him, none of the other Cyclops s will come to his aid. Finally, in some situations Odysseus was having hard times to control his men yet he continually maintained his determination to get his crew and himself back to Ithaca. This ... • 34. Historic Treaties And Its Effects On The Peoples Of This... INSERT SOMETHING ABOUT SOCIOLOGY PAPER. Historic treaties continue to be relevant in Canada today because ever since Christopher Columbus arrived to an undiscovered continent, he managed to employ detrimental consequences to the peoples of this land. The treaty was one of the colonial processes that would allow for the exploitation of the First Nations. Many Aboriginal Signatories to treaties understood the treaty agreements as being the foundation of a relationship with the Crown and that this relationship would be based on co existence versus the crown, creating them as a surrendering of the land with only small reserve retained, and limited hunting in those territories. These treaties are important today because they try to go about who has land claim to a certain area and they show that some treaties were compiled by the British with the poorer intentions of the Aboriginals. However, the documents and treaties that the British drafted and passed, would create a paper trail of vast amounts of exploitation. Treaties show prevalence today because they can demonstrate how convoluted the history of Canada s relationships with the Aboriginal peoples is. One factor that makes this history perplexing is trying to fathom who has claim to the lands that people stand on. Moreover, when the government was willing to substantiate what scheme they wanted to employ in order to solve the issue of cohabitation of the aboriginal peoples. Historically, in the fur trader era, it was ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. Comparing Hitchcock Film Rope And Superman s Crime Freud says that there are no coincidences and that everything happens for a reason. In the classic Hitchcock film, Rope, two young students, Brandon Shaw enacted by John Dall and Phillip Morgan enacted by Farley Granger strangle a former classmate, David Kentley played by Dick Hogan. This film portrays the true crime story of Loeb and Leopold as also written about in Superman s Crime, by Miriam Allen deFord. In 1924, Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb, the adolescent sons of two wealthy Chicago families, who were indicted for kidnapping and killing Bobby Franks, a 14 year old boy. They wanted to see what it would be like to commit the ultimate perfect crime. With their wealth, education, and relationship combined, these two juveniles considered themselves superior to society ergo committing homicide of an innocent little boy. Hitchcock could ... The guests are completely impervious of the chest disguised as a buffet table. Only the viewers and the two hosts were conscious of the truth that lay near them. In Superman s Crime we are given in depth detail about Loeb and Leopold s master plan before it has taken place. Hitchcock did not show the viewers what happened prior to the strangulation of David or subsequent to the call made to the police. This was an engrossing way of filming a movie. The movie was made to look like it was taken in one continuous shot. This caused the viewer to know what happened the whole time. In both the true crime story and film the readers and viewers were knew what was going on during the entire plot scene. These were great definitions of what a dramatic irony is. But the way Hitchcock does not include the premeditation of the murder is powerful in itself. This glamorized the plotline by showing a clean scene with no obvious camera ...
