Who Is The Guilty Of Charlie Brown
Sometimes, it s not all fun and rainbows behind every childhood animation. In a recent report, the 59
year old actor who voiced the gullible Charlie Brown in The Peanut pleaded guilty to committing
death threats. In the land of yellow birds and a dog named Snoopy, lies a mentally ill actor voicing the
beloved cartoon. Peter Robbins, the man who voiced Charlie Brown in the Peanuts television specials
pleaded guilty on Tuesday for threatening a San Diego County sheriff. He claimed to have hired a
hitman to kill Sheriff Bill Gore. He offered money to have Sheriff Gore murdered. On another count,
he also pleaded guilty to threatening a manager of a mobile home park. But this was not his first
offense. In 2013, he pleaded guilty to threatening

Essay on Growing Up in California
Growing up in Long Beach, CA 90804, there would be various ethnicities that were my neighbors.
According to 2010 Census, Long Beach population consists of 40,311 people. Long Beach contains
38.6% of whites, 16.9% of blacks, 14.8% of Asians, and 37.8% of Hispanics, as we can see in Long
Beach, Hispanics and whites make up a great percentage in the population and I think this is true. For
example, in high school half the school consisted of whites and the rest were Hispanics, Asian, black,
and others. Long Beach is a diverse city, but it can also depend exactly what part of Long Beach

If statistics are based on the population, they might not be fair. For example, people in LA, 90210
have a small number of population and many of those people have good jobs and a good education
and statistics cannot be based on only those people because might want to live there, but do not have
money and go to a city that is poorer and population rises. Also, in the LA Times Mapping LA
interactive website, the counties in the right tend to have a lower education percentage of residents of
25 and older with a four year degree, it seems that those counties who have a low education
percentage are close to each other and are separated from counties who have a higher education
percentage.
Around my neighborhood, it is considered a quiet and safe zone, but sometimes there are shootings
and robberies doing around. Homes around my neighborhood are kept clean and many are apartments.
There are various languages spoken when I walk around my neighborhood such as English or Spanish.
Also, my neighborhood is pretty quiet, but there have been many incidents are police pass at least 3
times a week to see what s going on. Also, mostly everyone in my neighborhood own cars and almost
everyone has a used car, but for the exception of two or three people own a new car, Living in Long

Religion In The Autobiography Of Miss Jane Pittman
Many people in today s world believe there is a higher power and practice a religion. Some exhibit
true religious behaviors of peace and kindness, whereas other individuals hurt innocent people,
claiming that they did it in the name of their deity. In The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman,
religion is a common theme. Jane practiced Christianity like much of the south, but she was genuine in
her religion. In an earlier part of the book when she and Ned are trying to get to Ohio, they came
across an ornery woman whom reluctantly served them water. She told them that if she wasn t a God
fearing Christian she d kill them because she hated them. Jane Pittman was more of a true Christian
than the ornery Christian woman because Jane worshiped God out of love, she was very accepting of
others, and she was able to bounce back from hard times.
Jane became a Christian during the later years of her life and she always felt that God was protecting
and watching over her. She believed He had sent Joe Louis and Jackie Robinson for the purpose of
showing the world that skin color doesn t matter. Jane was also a true Christian because she believed
the message that God stood for. The ornery Christian woman was God fearing because she wanted to
kill the freed slaves, but since the Ten Commandments state that killing is a sin and she didn t want to
go to hell, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If someone was rude to her she wouldn t retaliate with violence; she d ignore it. The ornery woman
didn t commit any violent acts physically, but she threatened Jane and Ned with death if they didn t
move away from her fence. Jane didn t care if someone was black or white or had a questionable past;
in her eyes everyone was her equal. The ornery Christian woman, like many white people residing in
the Deep South, thought of African Americans as below whites. She still looked down upon them and

Testing Is The Measurement Of Software Quality
Testing is the measurement of software quality. It is the practice of making objective judgments
regarding the extent to which the system meets, exceeds or fails to meet stated objectives. A good
testing program is a tool for both the developer and the end user; it basically identifies the end of the
development part of the project, establishes the criteria for project acceptance, and establishes the start
of the warranty period. Testing Program is a selective innovation that permits you to perform web
testing all the more rapidly, proficiently, and regularly, which implies you can instantly recognize the
main driver of any bottlenecks or issues and regulate them. We make it simple for you to measure the
performance and trustworthy of your site so they meet business and client experience desires. Testing
should be represented in the early phase of the software advancement life cycle, the expense of fixing
the bug is bigger if testing is not done in prior stage and bugs found in later stages. In the todays
aggressive market just the quality items stay long lasting, so to ensure they create the great quality
item the testing of utilization is key variable in SDLC. There are two fundamental purposes of testing
they are verifying procurement specifications and managing risk. First, testing is about verifying that
what was specified is what was delivered it verifies that the product meets the functional,
performance, design, and implementation requirements

The Canterbury Cathedral Essay
The Canterbury Cathedral
For at least fourteen hundred years the worship of God has been offered on the site of this Cathedral,
and through the prayers of the Church his power and grace have shaped human lives. Ever since the
murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket in the Cathedral in 1170, Canterbury has attracted thousands of
pilgrims. This tradition continues to this day, and a large team of Welcomers, Guides, Cathedral
Assistants and Chaplains are there to give all visitors a warm welcome.
The Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Christ Canterbury is a holy place of pilgrimage, founded
by St Augustine for the worship of Almighty God and the honour of Christ our Saviour.

Benedict as a formal monastic community. The Benedictine community of monks continued until the
monastery was dissolved in 1540.
The next year a new Foundation, called the Dean and Chapter, was constituted by Royal Charter.
Today there is a Dean and four Residentiary Canons in the Chapter, who, with the Precentor, make up
the establishment of full time clergy.
Canterbury Cathedral is linked to the lives of many great ecclesiastical and national figures. Among
the former are the Saints of Canterbury Augustine, Theodore, Odo, Dunstan, Alphege, Anselm,
Thomas and Edmund all of whom were Archbishops of Canterbury and held in universal respect.
The one who became most famous of all was Thomas Becket, who was murdered in his cathedral on
29 December 1170. Appointed by his King and friend, Henry II, to bring the Church to the heel of the
monarchy, he did the reverse. He espoused its rights in the face of the King s desire to control them.
Four knights, with their own agendas of complaint, thinking to ingratiate themselves with the King,
came to Canterbury and killed the Archbishop in his own Cathedral.
In the Reformation period Canterbury had a series of distinguished Archbishops, among them Thomas
Cranmer, who compiled the first two Prayer Books and established what was to become the liturgical
tradition of the Church of England and Anglican Churches the world over.
Cardinal Pole was Archbishop during the reign of

Game Play Interface
The main AI part of the CADIA agent is managed by the Game Play Interface (Finnsson 2007, p. 17;
Finnsson 2012, p. 18). Both of the current state and the history that led to the state of the game will be

The structure also need to be capable to be translated back into description languages, like GDL or

The Game Logic Interface
Game logic Interface adopts classes to implement the Game Controller (Finnsson 2007, p. 19;
Finnsson 2012, p. 27). The Game Logic Interface will file the game s state, offers information about
what moves are available, when there is a move how should the states changes, determine terminal
state, and decide the goal rewards if a state is judged as a terminal state (Finnsson 2012, p. 27).

Middle School Documentary Techniques
When we made our video we incorporated a few techniques one of them was only wanting them to
reply positively. This was because we only wanted to hear the good parts of middle school. When we
came up with the topic for our documentary, we had to decide if it was going to be subjective or
objective; we decided to choose objective. This is because we thought it would be easier to work with.
The documentary is mainly objective with a little bit of subjective in it. In the documentary, we
recorded it in a way so that we couldn t be seen. We said to everyone to wave and look at the camera
so that they seemed happier. We did this to change the opinion of the person who is watching it so that
they will think that this is how people act in middle middle school but in reality, this is not what
happens. The shots of the middle school also show parts of the building and some other teachers
which talk about what they do and who they are. When the teachers were discussing middle school,
they talked about the good things which influences the grade sixes. We did this to relate to them. ...

We also recorded the other main buildings when you re not in the middle school. We chose a lot of
teachers that were either the main teacher of a subject, or a Year 7 specialist teacher. We did this so
that the target audience would know where to go if they had something wrong. The reason why we
recorded Mrs Deer and Mr Collins, was so then the grade sixes knew what roles they did in our school
and if they needed to discuss anything they could go to them. We showed our video in this way so that
when it is being watched, it isn t too boring watching just teachers getting interviewed, but also other
places that the grade sixes are going to be taught and different teachers that they may not

Japan further imposed an indefinite ban on US beef in 2003 after the confirmed appearance of Bovine
Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) in North America. 3. A new corporate governance structure, under
which outside directors play important roles in managerial decisions, was sanctioned by the revised
commercial code in April 2003. ← Economic factors 1. Due to the BSE outbreak in Japan in 2001 and
the subsequent beef mislabeling issues, consumers became leery of beef products in general and beef
consumption declined as a result. 2. Japanese consumers reported significant declines in their
perception of domestic beef as safe and healthy. ← Social factors 1. SBM has significantly lost public

Common practices of beef mislabeling had led to a renewed call for ethics and integrity in Japanese

The Crime Control Model Of The Ryan Ferguson Essay
In a perfect world every person s rights would never be compromised, within a society that is free of
crime. Everyone would be equal and treated fairly. Unfortunately this is not the case, our system was
created to serve and to protect the lives and rights of every American. Although, the scary reality is
that not everyone s rights are always protected and some are even wrongfully convicted of crimes he
or she is innocent of. This is an unnerving concept that seems like a plot to a popular crime fighting
show. Sadly, this possibility was a reality for a man named Ryan Ferguson. Three key factors of the
Ryan Ferguson case are: the Crime Control Model, the role of evidence, and the role of Appellate
courts.
The Crime Control Model demonstrates a specific viewpoint of prevention and deterrence of crime
which means, the most important function of the criminal justice process to punish and repress
criminal conduct, (Gaines, Kaune, and LeRoy,17). This means that a person who aliens with this
model, will ensure someone gets charged for the crime committed. If more and more criminals are
taken off of the streets, the justice system ultimately is successful in protecting it s society members. A
known criminal could be convicted of a crime that he or she did not commit, but according to this
model, as long as criminals are getting punished and removed the system is doing its job. In the Ryan
Ferguson case, it is clear that Prosecutor Crain aligned with the Crime Control model.

Analysis Of The Motif Of Black Invisibility, By Michelle...
Blackness : An Invisible Disposition Explored Through Free Enterprise and Invisible Man
As observed throughout history and various societies, the notion of a racial hierarchy proves to be a
superficial design which ultimately assigns value to a group of people based solely upon their skin
color. As a result, certain groups are promptly associated with influence and supremacy, while others
are disregarded in their inherent inferiority. Michelle Cliff s Free Enterprise and Ralph Ellison s
Invisible Man approach this paradigm by facilitating their readers understandings regarding the
debilitating ostracism associated with the social construct of blackness, as well as the metaphorical
societal invisibility that is suffered as a result. In Free Enterprise, Cliff s implementation of the motif
of black invisibility is prevalent throughout the depiction of a leper colony. In the literal sense, the
colony serves the purpose of preventing those with leprosy, a disease which flourishes among the
darker races, from infecting the rest of the general populace (Cliff 35). In the metaphorical sense,
however, its existence in the work is meant to represent the estrangement and containment of
marginalized people from the other, superior society. Through the eyes of Annie Christmas, the
channel of the narrator s observations, the numericalized lepers are described as a secreted and
unknown people, hidden away as she had hidden herself (Cliff 42). In the colony, there is

Is There A, Narcissism Epidemic, Among Contemporary Young...
The issue for the last critique article is, Is there a Narcissism Epidemic among contemporary young
adults? Yes I do believe that there is a narcissism epidemic among young adults. I am a young adult as
we speak, and being a young adult I started to change, and recognize my behavioral had shift gear to a
whole another dimension, which it all started when I started my freshman year in college. Jean M.
Twenge argues that The Age of Anxiety? Birth Cohort Change in Anxiety and Neuroticism, 1952
1993. Jean M. Twenge also agreed on the issue. Her article presents the results from two meta
analyses examining self reports of anxiety and neuroticism. Jean M. Twenge finding demonstrate that
both college students and schoolchildren report increases in these characteristic. Her suggestion was
low social connectedness and environmental threats are responsible for these changes. I feel as though
this is agreeable because I think all college students come to college with anxiety and neuroticism, and
reasons because of low social connectedness, and environmental threat. Social connectedness model
focuses on social exclusion as particularly important to anxiety. When you exclude that social
connectedness, it then becomes a lack of connection in a society, may produce alienation and feeling
of loneliness and despair. Environmental threat connects the same way. Environmental threat is
basically violent crime, the nuclear war, fear of diseases such as AIDS, and the entrance of women

Colesworth Organisational Structure
Colesworth is a chain of supermarkets that operates across Australia that is also present in other
industries, such as financial services. My role at Colesworth is a part time employee in the grocery
department at one of their main stores, and thus most of my analysis will focus on this department. As
an organisation, Colesworth, like most human service organisations, is a bureaucracy, consisting of a
vast hierarchal structure and high degrees of labour division (Gardner, 2006). Colesworth s hierarchal
structure is that of a tall one, having casual and part time employees report to duty managers, who
then report to a department manager, with the process continuing up the hierarchy to the store
manager. This hierarchy is quite formal, with workloads ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The decentralised nature of how Colesworth stores operate carries over to the management structure
too, with there being multiple different managers for different departments existing alongside
traditional upper management. This low power distance also contributes to the previously mentioned
laid back culture of the Colesworth grocery department, as managers are referred to by their first
names like any other employee and will often joke around with employees and take interest in their
lives. However, despite this low power distance, management s authority is still very much rooted in a
rational legal basis. As Colesworth is still a bureaucracy it follows the rational legal authority as
outlined by Max Weber, in which clear cut structures, and formalised procedure, and rules are
followed (Gardner, 2006). These structures and rules are seen clearly within Colesworth, as employees
are structured into different departments in which they work and must follow clear procedure and
rules when completing work in their departments. Despite being predominately rational legal based
authority, a select few managers do command charismatic authority alongside their rational legal
authority, as they are seen as friends by employees, as well as managers and are able to use this
relationship to motivate employees to work

Pakistan s economy faced depression in 2012. In 2013, the political scenario was quite unpredictable

year. It was due to the success of the agricultural sector. Generally the political scenario does not have
a deep impact on the real estate market because the economy of Pakistan is quite informal and
investors are attracted to invest in the property market. The year 2014 was also positive for the
economy of Pakistan and since the beginning of this year, real estate market of Pakistan showed
stability in both residential and commercial terms.
Now the real estate market is showing positive results. The demand of the properties in the leading

Electronic Patient Care Records (EPCR)
Not so in healthcare or public safety. Especially during emergencies, if a product fails to work as
intended or to work at all it can mean lost productivity, mountainous legal fees, brain death, or loss of
life, limb and property.
Healthcare IT offers outsized benefits to Emergency Response teams, which depend on speed, ease of

that one can say there are few areas of development with a more desperate need for criticism.
And criticism there has been! Few complaints garner broader consensus among Fire and EMS

The method of using factual guilt would allow more convicts to be sentenced with innocent citizens
also being punished as where the current method of legal guilt will protect innocent people from being
sentenced but allowing more suspects getting away with the law. With Sinclair s case, the due process
of legal guilt protects one s right till proven guilty was applied and executed as intended without
having conflicts with the law, evidence was provided and a violation in the law was found thus
confirming his sentence. The methodology has proven to work in this case and in several other cases
as well. If factual guilt was used, the chances of Sinclair getting the same sentence would be
considerably high. The reason why legal guilt would be better is to prevent people from being
punished unnessarily. Also the Code mentions how one s rights should not be abandoned under any
circumstances and is innocent till proven guilty. Arguments can be made that factual guilt can be more
beneficial, preventing murders like O.J. Simpson escaping from the law, making communities more
safe. The drawback of this is the violation of section 11 in the Charter of rights and freedom
preventing people feeling confident in their law enforcement and increasing their chances of being

Assisted Suicide Arguments Against Euthanasia
What is life? Life according to Merriam Webster s learner s dictionary, is the experience of being
alive. If you are already in pain suicide will only cause more pain not only to you but to the people
you love the most. Who knows you might not be in the right state of mind, you might get better, it
could be murder, and it is definitely not humane. Assisted suicide is not right and it breaks the theory
of medicine.
How do we know that people aren t actually committing murder while assisting with suicide? Some
people believe that it is not committing murder if the patient asks the doctor to do it, but how do we
know if the patient actually asks the doctor to do it? Jack Kevorkian is a great example of this.

Doctors and nurses will take away all food and water in hopes for a quick death. If all food and fluids
(nutrition and hydration) are removed from a person whether that person is a healthy Olympic athlete
who takes food and fluids by mouth or a frail, disabled person who receives them by a feeding tube
death is inevitable. That death will occur because of dehydration (Methods of Euthanasia). Dr. Helga
Kuhse, activist for euthanasia, said, If we can get people to accept the removal of all treatment and
care especially the removal of food and fluids they will see what a painful way this is to die and then,
in the patient s best interest, they will accept the lethal injection (Methods of Euthanasia).
One of the last forms is through injection. The first injection causes your body s muscles to relax, and
the second one is to stop the heart. The patient usually dies from the muscle relaxant. When death is

My Beautiful Laundrette By Stephen Frear
Stephen Frear s film, My Beautiful Laundrette portrays the struggle of intersecting sexuality, ethnicity,
class, race and power. Omar, son of a Pakistani immigrant, is attracted to Johnny, a white English
male. Their attraction and the subsequent relationship is looked down upon, both in England and
Pakistan. Omar works for his uncle who lets him take over a laundrette in London while Johnny is
initially unemployed and eventually works for Omar. Together, they make the laundrette a successful
business venture and a place where they can freely express their desire for each other. The film seeks
to highlight a progressive society in England during Margaret Thatcher s entrepreneurship and
opportunism era (Mohanram 1996). Britain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The accountants building is more like a watchdog and a representation of how the events that unfold
inside and around the laundrette are all part of the new liberal Britain. Nasser refers to the laundrette
as a place where Omar can use a little water to clear his brain. What was crowding Omar s mind when
he was merely a young man waiting to go to college with seemingly nothing to bother him? The scene
suggests the presence of something that oppresses Omar and the presence of the laundrette as a refuge,
a place for him to clear his brain a space where queer bodies can express their desire. The sounds of
water in the background echoes this. Water is used to represent cleansing, life, and freedom in films
(Shane Brown 2016). The sound of water in the laundrette becomes a symbol of characters in stories
handling difficult life scenarios, a symbol of power in stories and can free characters as well as claim
them (ibid). The laundrette is equivalent to what Gopinath describes as the diaspora a space of
freedom (Gopinath pg 14). In the next scene, I m going to analyze, we see Johnny from a high angle
shot, finishing the renovation the laundrette, now called Powders. The word powders can be translated
to mean fine, dry particles produced by the grinding, crushing, or disintegration of a solid substance
(Oxford Dictionary). Johnny and Omar can

Reading Of An Extract From The Cuckoo Clock
Close Reading of an Extract From The Cuckoo Clock Mrs. Molesworth s The Cuckoo Clock was
originally published in 1877. During this point in history, children s literature typically focused on the
instruction of children. Children were seen as blank slates upon which adults carved moral values.
Many authors, Mrs. Molesworth s included, incorporated these moral values into easy to digest and
entertaining narratives. This extract from The Cuckoo Clock, titled Obeying Orders , combines
didacticism with elements of fantasy that capture the imaginations of its intended child audience.
While the tale centers around a magical cuckoo clock, it never fails especially with the narrator s
assistance to remind children of the lessons they must learn in order to grow into proper adults. The
narrator in The Cuckoo Clock speaks in a loving, yet educative manner, like an aunty imparting words
of wisdom to her young nieces and nephews. On page 45, when the narrator first directly enters the
narrative, she says, For fairies, you know, children, however charming, are sometimes rather queer to
have to do with. This sentence alone suggests many things about the narrator. When she addresses her
intended audience, children, directly, she encourages them to participate in the story being told; one
can imagine a group of children nodding their heads along in agreement. She also appeals to their
intelligence by implying that they are already familiar with the information she is about to impart,

Utilitarianism In The Movie Matrix
In the movie Matrix, people live in a virtual world composed of happiness although delusional, and
are not conscious of this fact. Their daily lives are carried on oblivious to the painful, decrepit, and
depressing conditions of reality. There exist two different sides to this predicament. In a utilitarianist s
perspective, this condition is understandable because ultimately, overall happiness is higher compared
to an otherwise situation. However, in a realist s point of view, it would seem that anything achieved
in a false world will always be false, therefore humans should achieve real things that matter. Ever
since the 17th century, utilitarianism and many more political ideals like it, started becoming popular,
and rightfully so as the world grew unbalanced economically due to expansionism. Utilitarianism is
used precisely for achieving overall happiness in a society and does so without regards to how it is
achieved. Specifically, to achieve the greatest
Kim 2 amount of happiness to the greatest amount of people. An example of act utilitarianism would
be in a situation in which a single man is permitted to die in order to save three. Upsides to
utilitarianism is, when applied to a society, it causes them to become less selfish and understand that
everyone lives in the pursuit of happiness. Anything that may cause unhappiness is commonly refused.
Therefore, many of the problems that exist right now due to selfish causes as well as economic
imbalance will be

The First Three Kings Of Israel
The nation of Israel was set apart as holy to the LORD. But they When the children of Israel
demanded a king, they did so to be like the other nations. The first three kings were Saul, (outwardly
tall, handsome and strong a seemingly good choice for a king, but inwardly arrogant, proud and
unrepentant not God s choice), David (a man after God s own heart who repented of his sins and as
such was God s choice), and Solomon (the wisest man who ever lived, but because of covenant
disobedience became the catalyst for the division and ultimate exile of Israel. Because the judges were
corrupt, and because everyone else had a king, Israel asked for one too. They were rushing God s
timing, by asking for a king like all the other nations have (1 Samuel 8:5 NLT). They wanted someone
they could see to fight their battles for them. They, in a sense, rejected God as their king. This attitude
indicates that the people were looking at the other nations and at those rulers outward characteristics.
So, when the people demanded a king for the second time, God gave them what they demanded.
Saul was tall, good looking and a warrior, however, as Hindson and Yates put it, The people seemed to
focus on Saul s outward appearance (9:2) rather than his heart (16:7) (Hindson and Yates 2012, 164).
Despite his early successes as king, Saul s arrogance and pride caused him to start disobeying God.
Samuel warned Saul repeatedly about his covenant disobedience. So when he offered priestly

Ginseng Environmental Problems
Environmental Problems linked to ginseng production in Ontario:
However, although consumption of ginseng has a lot of health benefits, but growing ginseng comes up
with a lot of environmental problems in Ontario.
Ginseng plants can only be harvested after 3 5 years of maturation and it also has to be under specific
conditions such as rich sandy soils, moisture, shades and appropriate temperature to produce high
quality ginseng roots (Antonacci, 2014). . Also, growing ginseng plants requires a lot of land, because
after ginseng roots are harvested from a land, a particular fungus will develop in to the soil and so that
land cannot grow any other forms of ginseng plants (Hoag, 2015). This means ginseng farmers have to
frequently seek out for new land available to grow and harvest other forms of ginseng plants to
produce a variety of ginseng products. The exploitation of lands for ginseng production will not stop
as the demand for ginseng products are increasing and it will cause greater damage to the
environment.
When ginseng plants are made into products, only the root will be used, as other parts of the plant
have no nutritional and medical value (Liu, 2017). This means other parts of the plant is useless and
will be disposed as waste, contributing to environmental damages.
Also, because of the high demand for ginseng, people were picking wild ginseng in forests (in
Southern Ontario) causing ginseng becoming an endangered species having a very low reproduction

Compare And Contrast Edwards Vs Aguillard
In the late nineteen eighties, Edwards v. Aguillard argued that a Louisiana law was against the First
Amendment of the Constitution. This law prohibited public schools from teaching about evolution and
the evolutionary processes unless the topic was taught alongside religious based creation theories.
More specifically, this law imposed on public schools was argued to have broken the Establishment
Clause of the First Amendment. This clause simply says that absolutely no law can establish or
support a religion ( Establishment Clause , 2011). Many people challenged the state s law including
local parents and teachers as well as men and women with religious affiliations. Ultimately, the
Supreme Court found that the state s act was unlawful according to the Establishment Clause of the
First Amendment due to the fact that there was no non religious basis to the act. The creation theories
are entirely based around the idea that an all powerful god created the human race. Therefore the state
is promoting this religious teaching. Although it was argued that the act was to give students more
opportunities to learn, the point was made that the teachers lost the power to make decisions in his or
her own classroom. Furthermore, the law inhibits the learning of children by banning the teaching of
evolution unless creation is also taught in the classroom. The law ... Show more content on

Aguillard. I agree with the verdict of this case. Louisiana s law was clearly put into place to diminish
the validity behind the evolution theory. This is in clear violation of the Establishment Clause of the

straightforward. This clause is absolute, saying that no law can be in place supporting any
establishment of religion or religion itself ( Establishment Clause ,

The age of renaissance is gone and the Renaissance man is dead. This is the age of the man with
specialties and subspecialties. A few centuries ago, the ideal man of science was the one who knew a
little bit of each and every field. He would know medicine, arts, physics, mathematics, biology,
chemistry, etc. That man cannot survive now because the depth of knowledge has grown exponentially
over the past few decades. Any one, perhaps, now knows more than the leading scientists of that time.

Similarities Between Salem Witch Trials And Mccarthyism
McCarthyism and the Salem Witch Trials
McCarthyism and the Salem Witch Trials are notorious events in American History. Although they
weren t contemporary, it is undeniable that they are related. McCarthyism was from about 1950 to
1954, or when World War 2 had finished and the Cold War was heating up. There was anxiety in
countries all over the world and people were beginning to panic. First term senator from Wisconsin,
Joseph McCarthy, did nothing to comfort the nation. In February of 1950, Joseph McCarthy presented
a speech that claimed he had a list of 205 communists in the State Department (History.com). Joseph
McCarthy s egotistical action resulted in people losing trust in America s government. President
Dwight Eisenhower and other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the beginning of McCarthy s second term as senator, he was put in charge of the Committee on
Government Operations, which permitted him to expand his investigation. Despite the absence of
proof of subversion, more than 2,000 government employees were jobless due to McCarthy s
conjecture (History.com). Not only did McCarthy s erratic actions cause complications in the
government, it ruined relations within the citizens. Trust was nonexistent and everything was second
guessed. Stress was more of a problem than before and the outcome was people were hopeless.
McCarthyism was one of the most muddled movements in American history, but it was not the only
movement that divided us from one another. The Salem Witch Trials were another one of America s
plights that triggered a parting in society. McCarthyism and the Salem Witch Trials are undoubtedly
alike in a couple ways. During both of these events, select actions were intolerable. In the
McCarthyism era, people were accused of subversion, or communist actions. Being accused of
subversion was looked at not much differently than being a terrorist. You were put on trial which had
the potential to land you in prison. In 1692, the time of the Salem Witch Trials, people were accused

My Mistress Eyes Figurative Language Essay
Wiry hair, bad breath, pale face these don t seem like the words you would use towards someone you
love. Shakespeare uses these terms to describe his romantic partner in the poem My Mistress Eyes. At
first glance, the reader could mistake this for a love poem. In reality, this poem illustrates how
someone could find fault in the one they think they love. As a result of Shakespeare s romantic
preferences and that he wrote many poems about love, My Mistress Eyes seems to be about love
between a man and a woman, but the speaker in the poem critiques his mistress through figurative
language, rhythm and rhyme, and a romantic mood.
In this specific poem Shakespeare uses figurative language to make it seem like a love poem but
makes you read it twice to really understand what he is actually saying about his significant other. One
of the main forms of figurative language in this poem is shown in metaphors. These are important to
the poem to make the comparison of her features to other objects. If hairs be wires, black wires grow
on her head. (Ln 4) Her hair is thick, rough and messy as if they were actually wires, not nice and
smooth like you would want hair to be.
This poem is also filled with similes. My ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This mood is brought to the surface by the choice of words used within the text. In the poem he uses
words like love, rose, goddess, and heaven that support the loving mood. He then uses words like
reeks and dun to contradict the mood he sets up beforehand. Another example of contradicting the
mood would be, I love to hear her speak, yet well I know/ That music hath a far more pleasing sound.
(Lns 9 10) He likes to hear her voice yet he knows that music is more pleasing. In his writing he
makes us imagine a realistic woman not a model or a dream woman as some would say. This says a lot
about the speaker by bringing to light the real meaning of his love for

Human Rights For The Disabled
Background
The topic of human rights for the disabled came after centuries of discrimination and mistreatment by
people who thought nothing of them. During the 1800s, people with disabilities were used in circuses
or in sideshows for entertainment or were put in an asylum for their whole life. They were thought to
be abnormal and pitiful. The Disability Rights Movement began in the United States after World War
One, because disabled veterans demanded care from the government. The problem has developed into
a global effort to protect and aid these people, along with others struggling with their human rights.
Contributions by the UN have sparked initiatives, conventions and resolutions to be set in place.
Undeveloped regions are most affected by lack of disabled rights, because of an absence of a strong
government with strong laws and rights. The top ten worst countries for human rights are Nigeria,
Yemen, Myanmar, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Pakistan, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan,
and Syria. These areas also suffer from so many other issues, which makes them a target for human
rights issues. War, famine, genetics, diseases, complications during pregnancy, and disasters cause
disabilities.People with disabilities live with less legal protection, higher rates of poverty, lower
educational achievements, poorer health outcomes and less political and cultural participation.
Because of the social barriers that are put up, people with disabilities were, and still are,

Malware And Its Effects On Computers
One of the most significant threats to computers today is malicious software. Malicious software, also
known as malware, is defined as any unwanted program that means you harm and is transmitted to
your computer without you knowledge or consent. Malware is used to damage computer software,
files, and to steal personal information. Malware comes in many forms, and in order to stay ahead of
the threat, computer users need to be aware of the different types of malware that exist. Viruses are
probably the most well known type of malware. Computer viruses are software programs that are
deliberately designed to interfere with computer operation (www.microsoft.com). Viruses are
programs that attach themselves to other programs in order to reproduce and cause harm. When the
infected program is ran and installed, the virus then activates and spreads itself to other programs that
are installed on the computer in order to harm your computer system (www.wisegeek.org). The
program might be an application, a macro document, a Windows system file, or a boot loader program
(Andrews, 900).
Two well known viruses are boot sector viruses and rootkits. These viruses affect a computer s
operating system. A boot sector virus is a virus that hides in the MBR program in the boot sector of a
hard drive or in an OS boot loader program (Andrews, 900). A rootkit is a virus that loads itself before
the OS boot is complete. A rootkit can hide folders that contain software it has installed and can hijack

Opium Wars Unfolded And Their Effects On Others
How the Opium Wars Unfolded and Their Effects on Others The Opium wars were a series of
conflicts mainly between China and Britain. The dispute was over the legalization of the Opium trade.
China s people were severely suffering from the effects of the Opium. Britain had been illegally
moving opium from India into China. A large mass of the public had become addicted to opioids and
the government sensed the problem. Due to the success of the opium trade, Britain refused to stop
bringing in the Opium. The conflict between the two countries sparked the two part Opium Wars. The
first Opium war resulted in many different unsteady treaties, many of which were seen as unfair to the
Chinese. The second Opium War was a result of British greed. The Chinese were preoccupied with the
Taiping Rebellion, so the British decided to take advantage of the situation and push the opium trade
further, resulting in further conflict. The French decided to join the British in the fighting, and the
Chinese were left defeated and forced into negotiations. Both wars resulted in series of treaties, but
each war s treaties had different impacts and affected people in different ways. After the first Opium
War, China had to give up a lot in order to bring peace with Britain. A series of treaties were signed.
The first treaty was signed in August of 1842 in Nanjing. This treaty was known as the Treaty of
Nanjing. There were many parts to this treaty, but there were zero benefits to China. The

According to 2010 Census, Long Beach population consists of 40,311 people. Long Beach contains 38.6% of whites, 16.9% of blacks, 14.8% of Asians, and 37.8% of Hispanics, as we can see in Long Beach, Hispanics and whites make up a great percentage in the population and I think this is true. For example, in high school half the school consisted of whites and the rest were Hispanics, Asian, black, and others. • 4. Religion In The Autobiography Of Miss Jane Pittman Many people in today s world believe there is a higher power and practice a religion. Some exhibit true religious behaviors of peace and kindness, whereas other individuals hurt innocent people, claiming that they did it in the name of their deity. In The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman, religion is a common theme. Jane practiced Christianity like much of the south, but she was genuine in her religion. In an earlier part of the book when she and Ned are trying to get to Ohio, they came across an ornery woman whom reluctantly served them water. She told them that if she wasn t a God fearing Christian she d kill them because she hated them. Jane Pittman was more of a true Christian than the ornery Christian woman because Jane worshiped God out of love, she was very accepting of others, and she was able to bounce back from hard times. Jane became a Christian during the later years of her life and she always felt that God was protecting and watching over her. She believed He had sent Joe Louis and Jackie Robinson for the purpose of showing the world that skin color doesn t matter. Jane was also a true Christian because she believed the message that God stood for. The ornery Christian woman was God fearing because she wanted to kill the freed slaves, but since the Ten Commandments state that killing is a sin and she didn t want to go to hell, ... The one who became most famous of all was Thomas Becket, who was murdered in his cathedral on 29 December 1170. Appointed by his King and friend, Henry II, to bring the Church to the heel of the monarchy, he did the reverse. He espoused its rights in the face of the King s desire to control them. Four knights, with their own agendas of complaint, thinking to ingratiate themselves with the King, came to Canterbury and killed the Archbishop in his own Cathedral. • 9. Middle School Documentary Techniques When we made our video we incorporated a few techniques one of them was only wanting them to reply positively. This was because we only wanted to hear the good parts of middle school. When we came up with the topic for our documentary, we had to decide if it was going to be subjective or objective; we decided to choose objective. This is because we thought it would be easier to work with. The documentary is mainly objective with a little bit of subjective in it. • 11. The Crime Control Model Of The Ryan Ferguson Essay In a perfect world every person s rights would never be compromised, within a society that is free of crime. Everyone would be equal and treated fairly. Unfortunately this is not the case, our system was created to serve and to protect the lives and rights of every American. Although, the scary reality is that not everyone s rights are always protected and some are even wrongfully convicted of crimes he or she is innocent of. This is an unnerving concept that seems like a plot to a popular crime fighting show. Sadly, this possibility was a reality for a man named Ryan Ferguson. Three key factors of the Ryan Ferguson case are: the Crime Control Model, the role of evidence, and the role of Appellate courts. The Crime Control Model demonstrates a specific viewpoint of prevention and deterrence of crime which means, the most important function of the criminal justice process to punish and repress criminal conduct, (Gaines, Kaune, and LeRoy,17). This means that a person who aliens with this model, will ensure someone gets charged for the crime committed. If more and more criminals are taken off of the streets, the justice system ultimately is successful in protecting it s society members. A known criminal could be convicted of a crime that he or she did not commit, but according to this model, as long as criminals are getting punished and removed the system is doing its job. In the Ryan Ferguson case, it is clear that Prosecutor Crain aligned with the Crime Control model. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Analysis Of The Motif Of Black Invisibility, By Michelle... Blackness : An Invisible Disposition Explored Through Free Enterprise and Invisible Man As observed throughout history and various societies, the notion of a racial hierarchy proves to be a superficial design which ultimately assigns value to a group of people based solely upon their skin color. As a result, certain groups are promptly associated with influence and supremacy, while others are disregarded in their inherent inferiority. Michelle Cliff s Free Enterprise and Ralph Ellison s Invisible Man approach this paradigm by facilitating their readers understandings regarding the debilitating ostracism associated with the social construct of blackness, as well as the metaphorical societal invisibility that is suffered as a result. In Free Enterprise, Cliff s implementation of the motif of black invisibility is prevalent throughout the depiction of a leper colony. In the literal sense, the colony serves the purpose of preventing those with leprosy, a disease which flourishes among the darker races, from infecting the rest of the general populace (Cliff 35). In the metaphorical sense, however, its existence in the work is meant to represent the estrangement and containment of marginalized people from the other, superior society. Her suggestion was low social connectedness and environmental threats are responsible for these changes. I feel as though this is agreeable because I think all college students come to college with anxiety and neuroticism, and reasons because of low social connectedness, and environmental threat. Social connectedness model focuses on social exclusion as particularly important to anxiety. When you exclude that social connectedness, it then becomes a lack of connection in a society, may produce alienation and feeling of loneliness and despair. My role at Colesworth is a part time employee in the grocery department at one of their main stores, and thus most of my analysis will focus on this department. As an organisation, Colesworth, like most human service organisations, is a bureaucracy, consisting of a vast hierarchal structure and high degrees of labour division (Gardner, 2006). Colesworth s hierarchal structure is that of a tall one, having casual and part time employees report to duty managers, who then report to a department manager, with the process continuing up the hierarchy to the store manager. This hierarchy is quite formal, with workloads ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The decentralised nature of how Colesworth stores operate carries over to the management structure too, with there being multiple different managers for different departments existing alongside traditional upper management. This low power distance also contributes to the previously mentioned laid back culture of the Colesworth grocery department, as managers are referred to by their first names like any other employee and will often joke around with employees and take interest in their lives. However, despite this low power distance, management s authority is still very much rooted in a rational legal basis. As Colesworth is still a bureaucracy it follows the rational legal authority as outlined by Max Weber, in which clear cut structures, and formalised procedure, and rules are followed (Gardner, 2006). These structures and rules are seen clearly within Colesworth, as employees are structured into different departments in which they work and must follow clear procedure and rules when completing work in their departments. Despite being predominately rational legal based authority, a select few managers do command charismatic authority alongside their rational legal authority, as they are seen as friends by employees, as well as managers and are able to use this relationship to motivate employees to work ... • 23. Reading Of An Extract From The Cuckoo Clock Close Reading of an Extract From The Cuckoo Clock Mrs. Molesworth s The Cuckoo Clock was originally published in 1877. During this point in history, children s literature typically focused on the instruction of children. Children were seen as blank slates upon which adults carved moral values. Many authors, Mrs. Molesworth s included, incorporated these moral values into easy to digest and entertaining narratives. This extract from The Cuckoo Clock, titled Obeying Orders , combines didacticism with elements of fantasy that capture the imaginations of its intended child audience. While the tale centers around a magical cuckoo clock, it never fails especially with the narrator s assistance to remind children of the lessons they must learn in order to grow into proper adults. The narrator in The Cuckoo Clock speaks in a loving, yet educative manner, like an aunty imparting words of wisdom to her young nieces and nephews. On page 45, when the narrator first directly enters the narrative, she says, For fairies, you know, children, however charming, are sometimes rather queer to have to do with. This sentence alone suggests many things about the narrator. Their daily lives are carried on oblivious to the painful, decrepit, and depressing conditions of reality. There exist two different sides to this predicament. In a utilitarianist s perspective, this condition is understandable because ultimately, overall happiness is higher compared to an otherwise situation. However, in a realist s point of view, it would seem that anything achieved in a false world will always be false, therefore humans should achieve real things that matter. Ever since the 17th century, utilitarianism and many more political ideals like it, started becoming popular, and rightfully so as the world grew unbalanced economically due to expansionism. Because the judges were corrupt, and because everyone else had a king, Israel asked for one too. They were rushing God s timing, by asking for a king like all the other nations have (1 Samuel 8:5 NLT). They wanted someone they could see to fight their battles for them. They, in a sense, rejected God as their king. This attitude indicates that the people were looking at the other nations and at those rulers outward characteristics. So, when the people demanded a king for the second time, God gave them what they demanded. Ginseng Environmental Problems Environmental Problems linked to ginseng production in Ontario: However, although consumption of ginseng has a lot of health benefits, but growing ginseng comes up with a lot of environmental problems in Ontario. Ginseng plants can only be harvested after 3 5 years of maturation and it also has to be under specific conditions such as rich sandy soils, moisture, shades and appropriate temperature to produce high quality ginseng roots (Antonacci, 2014). . Also, growing ginseng plants requires a lot of land, because after ginseng roots are harvested from a land, a particular fungus will develop in to the soil and so that land cannot grow any other forms of ginseng plants (Hoag, 2015). This means ginseng farmers have to frequently seek out for new land available to grow and harvest other forms of ginseng plants to produce a variety of ginseng products. The exploitation of lands for ginseng production will not stop as the demand for ginseng products are increasing and it will cause greater damage to the environment. When ginseng plants are made into products, only the root will be used, as other parts of the plant have no nutritional and medical value (Liu, 2017). This law prohibited public schools from teaching about evolution and the evolutionary processes unless the topic was taught alongside religious based creation theories. More specifically, this law imposed on public schools was argued to have broken the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. This clause simply says that absolutely no law can establish or support a religion ( Establishment Clause , 2011). Many people challenged the state s law including local parents and teachers as well as men and women with religious affiliations. Ultimately, the Supreme Court found that the state s act was unlawful according to the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment due to the fact that there was no non religious basis to the act. The creation theories are entirely based around the idea that an all powerful god created the human race. Therefore the state is promoting this religious teaching. Although it was argued that the act was to give students more opportunities to learn, the point was made that the teachers lost the power to make decisions in his or her own classroom. Shakespeare uses these terms to describe his romantic partner in the poem My Mistress Eyes. At first glance, the reader could mistake this for a love poem. In reality, this poem illustrates how someone could find fault in the one they think they love. As a result of Shakespeare s romantic preferences and that he wrote many poems about love, My Mistress Eyes seems to be about love between a man and a woman, but the speaker in the poem critiques his mistress through figurative language, rhythm and rhyme, and a romantic mood. In this specific poem Shakespeare uses figurative language to make it seem like a love poem but makes you read it twice to really understand what he is actually saying about his significant other. One of the main forms of figurative language in this poem is shown in metaphors. These are important to the poem to make the comparison of her features to other objects. (Lns 9 10) He likes to hear her voice yet he knows that music is more pleasing. In his writing he makes us imagine a realistic woman not a model or a dream woman as some would say. This says a lot about the speaker by bringing to light the real meaning of his love for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

During the 1800s, people with disabilities were used in circuses or in sideshows for entertainment or were put in an asylum for their whole life. They were thought to be abnormal and pitiful. The Disability Rights Movement began in the United States after World War One, because disabled veterans demanded care from the government. The problem has developed into a global effort to protect and aid these people, along with others struggling with their human rights. Contributions by the UN have sparked initiatives, conventions and resolutions to be set in place. Undeveloped regions are most affected by lack of disabled rights, because of an absence of a strong government with strong laws and rights. The top ten worst countries for human rights are Nigeria, Yemen, Myanmar, Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Pakistan, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, and Syria. These areas also suffer from so many other issues, which makes them a target for human rights issues. War, famine, genetics, diseases, complications during pregnancy, and disasters cause disabilities.People with disabilities live with less legal protection, higher rates of poverty, lower educational achievements, poorer health outcomes and less political and cultural participation. Malware is used to damage computer software, files, and to steal personal information. The program might be an application, a macro document, a Windows system file, or a boot loader program (Andrews, 900). Two well known viruses are boot sector viruses and rootkits. The dispute was over the legalization of the Opium trade. China s people were severely suffering from the effects of the Opium. Britain had been illegally moving opium from India into China. A large mass of the public had become addicted to opioids and the government sensed the problem. Due to the success of the opium trade, Britain refused to stop bringing in the Opium. The conflict between the two countries sparked the two part Opium Wars. The first Opium war resulted in many different unsteady treaties, many of which were seen as unfair to the Chinese. The second Opium War was a result of British greed. The Chinese were preoccupied with the Taiping Rebellion, so the British decided to take advantage of the situation and push the opium trade further, resulting in further conflict. The French decided to join the British in the fighting, and the Chinese were left defeated and forced into negotiations. Both wars resulted in series of treaties, but each war s treaties had different impacts and affected people in different ways. After the first Opium War, China had to give up a lot in order to bring peace with Britain. A series of treaties were signed. The first treaty was signed in August of 1842 in Nanjing.
