- It is important for teachers to implement technology into their teaching, but not relying solely on the program to teach the lesson or give students the answers quickly. Using technology in effective ways rather than using technology just to implement it.

While computer coordinators are helpful for teachers to learn technology, the educational technologist takes it a step further and implements technology with the teacher into the curriculum. It is important to use technology as a support for teaching rather than a way of teaching.

For example, the children in Williams class realize they can compare their learning to that of students in surrounding areas and on their own, realize they can log this information for future students. Using these tools, students learn more about the subject, but also learn the scope of what technology can do for their learning.
