7. Final Photo
Changed the
feature photo
again, I preferred
how this looked
and started to add
titles related to the
film, obeying to
the convention of
bold fonts
8. Film Title
I changed the fonts and styles of
the comment below the title of the
film. I decided on this as I liked the
idea of a handwritten looking font
and the red colour matched the
magazine title
9. Alignment
I changed the
alignment, line
spacing and position
of the film title.
I decided on this as it
matched the title of
the magazine colour
scheme and made a
link with the photo
and the film
10. Background
After changing the
colour of the
background, I thought it
still looked too flat and
needed some light
effects:
I started by adding a
glow around Andy, but
thought this still looked
unprofessional.
11. Background Lighting
I instead decided to use a lighting
effect on a coloured background,
trying out different intensities
(below) I liked the effect of this,
however thought the background
looked too grey. So I tried some
other colours.
12. Title
I thought this
background was very
effective as it looks very
metallic, giving an
assumption of class
especially as Andy’s
jumper seems silver.
However the title was
too bright and opposed
this, so I swapped it for
the original format I had
designed, which is less
bright.
13. Text
I then thought to
change to text to
match the colour of
the background
and to remove to
handwritten looking
font (Segoe Script)
but just make that
text italic
14. Issue Number
I also added a issue number
and date to correspond to
just before the release date
given in my trailer.
As well as other relevant
information about other
articles
15. Audience Feedback
Presented this to my
target audience and
received the
comments that the
cover looked ‘too
brown’ and it didn’t
have enough
information on it
16. Audience Feedback ||
Changed the colour scheme of the text and
asked my audience which they preferred. The
tally is shown below,
I was also told |||| ||||
that the text
at the bottom
looks better
with a grey
glow outline
(shown on the
far right)
17. Final
I then added extra
information to fill
the empty space
on the cover
