What does going green mean?

3. Green living refers to a way of life
that contributes towards maintaining
the natural ecological balance in the
environment.
Also, contributes towards preserving
the planet, its natural systems and
resources.

4. Other things to do to live a green life:
Recycling non-biodegradable materials
Cultivating more plants and trees. Begin
at home.
Contributing to conservation of forests
and wildlife and a lot more.

7. 1. Lower Costs – it helps us CUT cost.
When we conserve energy and resources
for example, by not wasting water,
electricity and adopting green traveling
tips, we help to reduce the amount that
needs to be spent on energy and resources.

8. 2. Healthier Lives – To keep our air and
environment cleaner, we are building a
healthier environment not only for
ourselves, but also to our love ones and our
future generations.
To leave healthier lives, 2 of many things
we can do are to stop consuming polluted
drinking water and food contaminated with
chemicals.

9. 3. Healthier Drinking – Bottled water is one
of the least green items around.
The chemicals used to produce the bottles are
largely derived from petroleum, and some of
those can leach into the water causing low-level
contamination. Drinking plenty of tap
water, filtered as necessary or using any eco
friendly water cleaning solutions depending on
where you live, is the greenest and healthiest
option.

11. 4. Prevent Used Things from Ending up in
the Landfill – If every household will
reuse, recycle and repurpose many of their
old materials, everybody won’t need a vast
space for garbage and waste disposal won’t
be a big problem.

do something starting right away. We need
to start adopting green practices in our
daily lives, as well as encouraging others
around us to do the same.
