2. My Initial Ideas For my first initial idea , I decided to choose a plain white background so that the reader would focus on the images I used and the text. I chose orange because it is not a gender specific colour and to bring a little colour to the magazine. I decided to put a dark black outline to the fun and bold title to allow it stand out and draw the readers eye. Also, it contrasts with the orange and white that I had also used. For my second idea , I chose yet again to choose a plain white background, yet I decided to incorporate more of a science feel into the magazine and also a darker colour scheme to try to appeal to a male and female audience. the glow on the font also allows the title to blend in with the colour scheme. I chose the font because I thought that it looked young and fun, but with a serious element .
3. For my third idea , I decided to darken the background and use bright, contrasting colours. The white splatter brings some light to the magazine and also brings some youth to the magazine. I chose blue for the text as it is a fun and unisex shade. The font I chose is youthful, fun and bold to catch the readers eye. In my fourth idea , I decided to use bold, statement colours such as black and red to catch the readers eye and to draw in both males and females. Also, the pattern along the bottom and up the side brings the element of fun to the magazine. The glow around the title also is a subtle way of linking the title to the rest of the magzine.
5. The Images I Chose : I chose this image for my front cover as the pupil looks pleased and well presented. Also, the background is plain and so easy to remove. The pose of the pupil will also fit into my chosen scheme. I chose these images for the contents page as the pupils looks well presented, yet casual and happy. Also, the pupils seems to be having fun, which will raise school morale and encourage other pupils to enjoy school life.
6. My Chosen Scheme: I chose the following idea as I believed that it would appeal most to my target audience (the pupils). However, I decided to incorporate my second idea into it by using the same font and glow. I will also use the same fonts and colour scheme on the contents page.
