2.  To present to you the concept of polygyny
 To inform you why one should support those
engaged in it and avoid opposing them
 To state why polygyny, when practiced by
properly applying the rules, is good for the
society as a whole
These points will be majorly presented through facts,
statistics and clinical researches

4.  “Marry of the women that please you: 2, 3 or 4.
But if you feel that you shall not be able to deal
justly, then (marry) only one or what your right
hand possesses. That would be more suitable to
prevent you from doing injustice.”
(Quran 4: 3)
To deal justly:
 “to be able to divide his time and wealth in an equitable
fashion (before he is allowed to have more than one wife)”
 “nor should a husband having more than one wife make his
inclination (to one wife) so obvious as to kindle jealousy and
ill-feeling which may lead to constant hostility among the
wives”

5. “Men must have a greater instinctual sexual drive
and a natural desire to have more than one wife.
The first of the two facts is borne out by scientific studies
conducted by Dr. Masters and Dr. Johnson. It has clearly
been established through their clinical researches that men
in general are much more easily aroused sexually than
women.
The second fact is obvious from the high frequency of extra-
marital sex among western males as opposed to females and
the historical existence of institutionalized polygyny in human
society at all stages of recorded human history and in all
present day „primitive societies‟ which have been studied,
with very few exceptions.”

illegitimacy, single parenthood, and financial
deprivation.
 Polygyny also provides for her after the death
of the husband
 Men hide behind „monogamy‟ and have extra
marital affairs

she has the right to divorce if she believes
she is unable to bear a polygynous marriage
