Notes de l'éditeur

  1. Knowledge is Information and skills acquired through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. The different between information and knowledge society is that information can exchange where else knowledge society bring justice in to a community. Its changes society in such a way it provides universal and equitable access to information. Integration between information and communication of technology with knowledge society is that its build society. ICT its self it is about discipline methods and resources available. Indeed knowledge society needs new kinds of Knowledge that cannot reduce to traditional discipline such as expulsion.
  2. The Knowledge Society is networked, Networks in Education offer many ways to entree knowledge, offer many possibilities for networking people and developing collaborative work and enhancing the “collective intelligence”. There is a need to develop networks and to involve all countries, particularly developing countries, in the education networks. Children they able to communicate with educators via internet for example if learners they did not understand the content in class. They send emails to the mediator and posse questions. It is important for teachers to skills on how to use technology hence why schools need to have qualified teachers or they need to upgrade their qualification through workshops and formal short learning courses. Institutions for teaching they have introduced information and communication of technology in order for mediators to have skills and knowledge about technology. The development of ICT-based education and training processes is a growing reality. It is important to research technology more often because its changes rapidly and also upgrading the soft words.
  3. The teacher has the open mindedness, flexibility and vision to explore the potential of ICT and its applications in the curriculum. Being a teacher in the Knowledge Society requires new specific competencies: a teacher has to deal with new knowledge, new ways for accessing knowledge; with a networked world and with new types of co-operation and collaboration; with a society in which knowledge plays a crucial role; with lifelong learning. Teachers are the key agents in the education system. It is our common responsibility to help all countries to train and recruit teachers, and to involve all teachers in international networks. ICT changes teaching and learning, but technology is not the main issue. “Technology matters, but good teachers and good teaching, matter more”.(ICT IN EDUCATION: MAKE IT WORKIFIP, Stellenbosch, South Africa, July 2005)
  4. .
  5. information and communication technology is fundamental to the implementation of education and offers greater opportunities to access learning redress inequalities and improves the quality of teaching and learning also makes possible for teachers to offer learners unprecedented opportunities. Education requires that all school staff must have knowledge, skills and support to integrate ICT. ICT it up brings education to high level it brought new possibilities into the education sector and it’s also placed demand on skills level such as guide line for teacher training and professional development(DOE Guidelines for Teacher Training Book.pdf)
  6. The white paper on education, published in 2004. The white paper characterises school that implement education as institutions that have learners who make effective use of ICT to inch learning, only qualified and competent leaders who use ICT for planning and management as well as teachers they need to be qualified in order to achieve and use ICT for teaching and learning. DOE Guidelines for Teacher Training Book.pdf
  7. ICT its takes education to a next level for teachers its makes it more fun and simple for communication with other professionals and organisation, they create online discussion, encourage learners to use emails for structured education situations. Schools even today they no longer use text books they use MiPad and download the books. It is very important for educators to have qualifications or upgrade their qualifications through workshops and formal short learning courses, the aim for that is they have to meet the standards and programs that schools is current implying is comes a point where teachers have to explore new resources and opportunities for the learners. DOE Guidelines for Teacher Training Book.pdf
  8. ICT integration into curriculum delivery is not simply about acquiring ICT competency. It is about the "appropriate selection, use, mix, fusion and integration of many sets of competencies including, but not exclusively, those in pedagogy and technology" (Information and Communication Technology in Education). ICT its need to blade with the curriculum because curriculum comprising a course of study in school or college. DOE Guidelines for Teacher Training Book.pdf
  9. The imperative to transform South African society by making use of various transformative tools stems from a need to address the legacy of apartheid in all areas of human activity, particularly education. Social transformation in education is needed to ensure that the educational imbalances of the past are redressed and that equal educational opportunities are provided for all sections of the population. DOE Guidelines for Teacher Training Book.pdf
  10. Outcomes-based education is a shift towards a developmental, learner-centred and activity-based approach to learning. It is also designed to promote problem-solving and be critical thinking skills, which form the basis of 21st Century skills. DOE Guidelines for Teacher Training Book.pdf
  11. Social justice requires the empowerment of those sections of the population previously disempowered by the lack of knowledge and skills. The integration and applied competence across subjects and fields of learning. The NCS seeks to promote the integrated learning of theory, practice and reflection. Children they are required to practise and be creative. In this day an age it is easy to communicate and gain knowledge because of technology , in the future they will be no need for mediators.
  12. We live today in a fascinating world where technology it is been developed in a muscularly way. Technology it is being acknowledge by the world, technology makes the people to communicate and have knowledge easy. In the world which instantaneous communication is compliance centuries ago such phenomenon would have seemed impossible
  13. media it is also one of technology resources that help learners to have knowledge and skills. Media comprise avenues to communication considering that teaching is essentially all process of communication, The value of media for teaching becomes apparent.
  14. students contend with on a daily basis. Indeed, many young people's knowledge of historical and contemporary events is based largely on media representations. Media, past and present, are some of the most influential texts of our times. The media are key sites for information creation and dissemination. They provide fiction and nonfiction narratives about people, places, and events, and help shape opinions and attitudes about history, government and politics. Newspapers, news magazines and news broadcasts tell us about national and world events and, in doing so, record a version of history. Media are also the principle storytellers in popular culture. Media, such as film and television, offer popular narratives about who we are, what we believe, and what we want to be. In addition, the media are primary sites where students learn about their own and other cultures. And as citizens, students rely on media for information about elections, public policy and political processes. As such, it is critical that students understand how media frame issues, be able to separate fact from opinion, and possess the skill to assess the credibility of media sources.
  15. Computers and smartphones it is an advance technology where by students they use it more often and educates. It make the world go around much easy then the other device such as television and newspapers. Computers have internet where children download the information if they have assignment than looking for newspapers, they send emails and communicate with mediators if they come across problems while they busy with an assignment. Smartphones internet for days for example blackberry people have to activate blackberry internet service every month, which is not bad to on the internet for free every day

  17. Department of education and other institutions developed six EFA goals were set out by the Dakar 2000 Framework for Action. These were planned to enable all characters to realise their right to learn and to fulfil their responsibility to contribute to the development of their societies. The goals are global in nature, and were drawn from the outcomes of regional EFA conferences and international development targets to which countries were already committed. Through a process of consultation with stakeholders and the assistance of the wider international community and EFA follow-up mechanisms, countries were expected to set their own goals, intermediate targets and timelines, within existing or new national education plans. (Aitchison. J (2003). Struggle and Compromise. A History of South African Adult )
  18. Goal 1: Expanding and improving comprehensive early childhood care and education, especially for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children. Goal 2: Ensuring that by 2015 all children, particularly females, children in difficult circumstances and those belonging to ethnic minorities, have access to and complete free and compulsory primary education of good quality. Goal 3: Ensuring that the learning needs of all young people and adults are met through equitable access to appropriate learning and life skills programmes. Goal 4: Achieving a 50% improvement in levels of adult literacy by 2015, especially for women; and equitable access to basic and continuing education for all adults.Goal 5: Eliminating gender disparities in primary and secondary education by 2015, and achieving gender equality in education by 2015, with a focus on ensuring females' full and equal access to and achievement in basic education of good quality. Goal 6: Improving all aspects of quality of education, and ensuring excellence for all, so that recognized and measurable learning outcomes are achieved by all, especially in literacy, numeracy and essential life skills.(, J. & Gwele, M. (2008) Early Childhood Care and Development. 37-40. Abstract retrieved 6 May 2010 from http://www.hsrc.ac.za.)
  19. Department of education they have gathered date of this report are long with education management. It is common practice internationally to measure progress in the achievement of EFA goals through the use of indicators. the achievement of the six goals it will help the nation/ world to reduce poverty and crime because each and every person have their Owen properties.
  20. This is our dream that around the world 75 million children should have new and dreamful problem by 2015. we all agree that everyone should have education, we all know that what need to be done we already have plan, now we need every one to agree to do something about it in the last five years we got 40 million children in to school without but 75 million children are still left out of school. Without an education they will be trapped in a life time poverty but this is the battle we can win. What we need we need its schools, books, teachers courage and Monty above all political will education help to promote economic growth, empower women, strength democracy, fight with hiv and aids and poverty. Let change the world we can be the first generation that give every one a chance of an education. The speech its motivate people and promising that every thing will change. 21. On 12 August 2009, Cabinet approved the release of the Green Paper: National Strategic Planning, for public consultation. The Green Paper was launched at a press briefing on 4 September and officially tabled in Parliament on 8 September. Parliament established an Ad Hoc Committee to solicit comments and representations from organisations, institutions and individuals as part of a broader public engagement process. National strategic planning will help society to achieve more knowledge and skills which leads that all children will go to school.
  22. Government has agreed on twelve outcomes as a key focus of work between now and 2014 and has made Education the apex priority . It has placed education and skills development at the centre of this administration’s priorities . The achievement of Outcome 1: Improved quality of basic education is therefore central to this Strategic Plan. The case of Limpopo that school do not have text book even today they have not been assist or given anything. Hopefully strategic plan will help.
