This photo won the 1970 Pulitzer Prize.
It shows a 14 year old runaway screaming
over the body of a 20 year old victim.
The girl is Mary Ann Vecchio and the victim is
Jeffery Miller.

3. About the Kent State Massacre
 Troops were on the campus trying to disperse the crowd.
 When the shooting began it lasted 13 seconds.
 4 were killed and 9 were injured
 2 of the students killed weren’t even part of the protest, they were just
walking to class
 A poll was taken after the shooting and showed that 58% blamed the
students.

4. Report
 A report was issued that said that said that the shooting was not justified.
 Even if there was danger they didn’t have to use lethal weapons.
 I agree with this and the students had rights.
 Even if they had lost rights already.
