Paint over the manufacturing circles a bright red dot with
enamel paint to show 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 rounds

3. Rounds of 5.56mm Remaining Indicator Center Disk
A CD core label with 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 round lines could be laminated in
clear plastic and attached to the drum center; trim off the excess as shown in
dotted lines. Paper should be a tan color. There is a center phillips head screw
that could enable a hard plastic disk to be attached during manufacturing

6. SKEDCO: Create a Camouflage Cover for the Drum

Covering the black drum initially in DESERT TAN or 3-COLOR CAMO
improves its camouflage and protects it, new Army uniform camouflage color
material when available will increase attractiveness of drum to Army units

7. Connect Carabiner to Drum to snap onto LBE when empty
Perhaps use the Phillips head screw in some way as an attachment point for
the Carabiner? Definitely this is the place on the drum to hang it attached to
your LBE on your body

While we could have pouches to carry multiple 90 round
drums, this would be only for a designated Automatic Rifleman (AR)
with a HB M16. For everyone else, a single 90 round drum for assault
use that clips to the LBE after emptied would suffice

CHUTE, PLUNGER AND SPACER. Pouch should have a dummy cord to connect
LOADING CHUTE by mini-clip to prevent loss even if pouch comes open….

11. What’s going to keep plunging and spacer from flying out
of the pouch and being lost?
We dummy cord them to the LOADING CHUTE which is
dummy corded to the actual pouch insides by
quick-disconnect or FASTEX mini-link.

12. Why not a 9 pound Colt Automatic Rifle with heavy, fluted barrel
instead of the heavy 15-pound M249 LMG/SAW which cannot feed 5.56mm
through box magazines when 5.56mm belts run out? If “quick change
barrel” is needed, plop on a new upper receiver and bolt carrier group!

With “heads-up display” technology adapted from F-14 Tomcat Fighters, the Holosight is the first electro-
optic sighting system to apply holographic technology to small arms. The HDS uses state of the art
digital electronics design, and is waterproof, fog proof and shockproof. Twenty brightness levels ensure
proper brightness control in either low light or bright sunlight. An on-board microprocessor provides
automatic battery check indicator, up/down brightness scrolling and programmable auto shut down
features. All electronics are fully encapsulated in shock absorbing resin compound, and the HDS has
been extensively tested on recoil simulators that mimic the recoil of a .454 Casull revolver. The sight's
tubeless design provides an unobstructed field of view and encourages two-eyes-open shooting. Simply
look through the 1/4" thick shatterproof laminate window, place the reticle image on the target and shoot.
Retical patterns are instantly visible in even the lowest light, instinctive to center regardless of the
shooting angle or position, and remain in view between shots. Additionally, anti-glare coatings on the
optical surface eliminate any muzzle side reflective signature, and a rugged “roll-bar” hood protects the
display. Commonly available type N alkaline batteries power the HDS and yield approx. 70 hrs.
