 -What is the Pythagorean Theorem?
 a^2+b^2=c^2
 A- can be what ever number that is given
 B- can also be what ever number that is given.
 C- is ALWAYS going to be the hypotenuse.
  The hypotenuse is found directly across from
  the right angle.
   We use a right angle triangle.
   a^2+b^2=c^2
 a^2+b^2=c^2
 8^2+4^2=X^2
 64+16=x^2


   80=x

   X=8.9
 A=X2-X1
 B=Y2-Y1
 C=(X2,Y2),(Y1,Y1)
    = Ö(2 5)2 + (-2 -
    6)2  ___________ = Ö(-3)2 +
    (4)2 ________ = Ö9 +
    16 ____ = Ö25       = 5
 (2,3),(1,7)
 D=(2- -1)^2+(3-7)^2


    (3)^2   ( -4)^2


        9    + 16=25
Square root of 25=5
